Paintable, or not? Fill osb floor gaps?

This question is from PL Premium 10 fl. oz. Polyurethane Construction Adhesive (12-Pack)

The "Product Overview" indicates this product is paintable; however, the "Specification 'Details'" indicate it is not. Which is correct?

Also, can this be used to fill in gaps on an osb floor where boards don't meet -- I'm not referring to the perimeter? I bought a "gathering structure" on a lake in Michigan. It's insulated and has osb covering the walls and the upstairs floor. My intention is to use the upstairs to house overnight guests. Therefore, I want to spruce up the appearance by painting the walls and floor. It will only be cooled as needed. The upstairs is not heated during the winter, although the main floor is heated to about 62 degrees.

Answer:
gaps between osb joints should be left open to allow for expansion of the panels (they do "breath") especially in humid areas or unconditioned areas.
the PL adhesive should NOT be used to fill joints... it is an adhesive for fastening systems together. I would suggest a flexible acrylic caulk if you must fill the joints to hide or to paint.

Answer:
The Loctite PL Premium is not recommended to fill gaps. Its recommended use is to bond two things together with a minimal gap between the two bonding surfaces. The adhesive is paintable.

Answer:
The PL Premium adhesive is a “reactive chemistry” dependent upon air and small minute amounts of moisture either in the air or on surfaces it contacts as the catalyst for curing. The adhesive should be above 41°F (5°C) and below 95°F (35°C) for application. The dry time is approximately 24 to 48 hours @ 25°C (78°F) and 50% RH. Note: Cure time is dependent upon temperature, humidity, porosity of substrate Read More

PL Premium 10 fl. oz. Polyurethane Construction Adhesive (12-Pack) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Decent adhesive I bought this adhesive with the suggestion of Home Depot associate for hanging drywall. This stuff is horrible. It doesn't stick to 2x4's and drops/drips everywhere. I have wasted way more of this product than I actually used. Now I have to spend time scraping all the glue clumps off my floor. After I use the amount I needed, I would put the tub down and the stuff would still squirt out if after I took the pressure off the plunger. I used 3 tubes before I took all them back to the store and bought a replacement. Maybe it's used for other applications, but definately not for glueing drywall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loctite PL premium Adhesive I was doing a project on my back patio step. One of the corners had a 45degree curve and all the stone veneers I was using was straight 6x24. The cost of purchasing 3 curved veneers was a difference of 75 dollars each. I seperated 3 veneers by cutting and seperating then positioned each stone to mimic the curve. When it looked presentable to my wife. I glued each piece together wiped the excess and let dry. Then I applied the cement on the back of each panel and attached to the surface step. The cost of a tube of loctite PL adhesive as oppose to purchasing custom made panels. Was $200.00

One tube per tread and riser. The glue flowed out of the tube with minimal effort and stuck right to the wood without and sagging or running. It took 2-3 days to fully harden (no noise from the stairs). Now the treads and risers are on there for good and we don't hear any creaking for popping. This product was what was recommended by the re-tread manufacturers.

It is amazing how strong it is. My only problem with it is, how it constantly grows out of the tube making a mess. I have used it in the production of 2 converted buses and 100% faith in it. I once considere d using the 8 times stronger brand, but saw no need to change from Premium. ( Wear gloves, you don't want this stuff on your hands)
