Answer:
The Power Grab adhesive cannot be used to bond two non porous substrates such as overlapping tub surround panels. You should refer to the tub surround manufacturers specific instructions for this application since different manufacturers of tub surrounds have different procedures for this application.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Drys well, but pain to use. I used this to attach a counter top to a new vanity in the bathroom. When applying, it doesn't seem to adhere as well as others, but once you get it where you want it, it dries like cement. It also dries clear, so you can't ever really tell it's there. All in all, not bad. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Well The Loctite Tub Adhesive works well and initially dries in a reasonable amount of time. We did trowel the glue to spread the glue and to let the glue stiffen a bit. There was two spots where we used an adjustable shower rod holder and some 1x4 pieces of lumber to make sure the panel was flat to give the adhesive time to set more. This worked well. (Note that we used Loctite Tub adhesive only after several unsuccessful tries with trying to use Liquid Nails tub surround adhesive). "Do it right and get Loctite". April 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works correctly Was able to use this product to install a 5 piece tub surround and to add FRP sheets to the wall above the tub surround. Product cured in less then 24 hours and holds tight. Tried Liquid Nails Tub Surround adhesive and that had to be scraped off, as it didn't cure. This product worked well! February 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by look elsewhere will not bond plastic to plastic.... so is worthless for a tub or shower.... February 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthess Adhesive Tried to use Powergrab to mount a shelf in my shower, the shelf is a ceramic type of material and trying to attached it to the same type of material; bad news first, this product takes a week to cure, so unless you have a lot of time I wouldn't recommend using this stuff. I expect more from Loctite, this has changed how I think of Loctite in the future. May 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product - worked better than advertised. This product worked better than advertised. They recommend not using on cement board - did a test with it on cement board - worked perfectly. Worked perfectly on my tub surround as well - with cement board behind the panels. Also did a test with the Liquid Nails tub surround product - did not go well. I needed less than 4 tubes of the Loctite adhesive to complete the installation of a 3-piece tub surround. February 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Bathroom Glue Great product without any smell. Good coverage. I used a bit less than was recommended and it worked great. The walls were not plumb as I had to replace some moldy drywall mating 1/2 inch with the existing 3/8 inch. I also had to trim up the drywall and feather out the joints. May 8, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good stuff Product worked pretty good. Overall I'm please. Definitely use in a well ventilated area. Tubes didn't go as far as i thought they would. Other than that it's good stuff for the money July 23, 2012
