16 CH ECO2 DVR with 1 TB Hard Drive Surveillance System with (8) 700 TVL Cameras - DISCONTINUED is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these cameras I have used quite a few different systems and this one was very simple and easy to figure out. The cameras have really good picture, in fact we forgot to remove the protective film and still saw a better picture then most of the other ones I've seen. My only negative comment is the box is very noisy, but that's to be somewhat expected with its size. Also, I wish they offered a higher playback speed, at as fast as it goes, it's still super slow. Night vision is great though!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not take well to power outages. Mine Died. 1 day old Bought it. It arrived. That night I had it up and running with just two cameras. Next day we had a brown out and it died. Someting instied went ka-pooey. I had it less than 24 hrs. Issue with this DVR and power outs is a known issue and can be found on Lorex's website. Scared to return it for another. Cameras seem OK visually. doesnt seem like 700 TVL at night. Had'nt had it running to test much else. Cameras are plastic. IR LEDs do glow red at night so they are not as stealthly as you may want. Set up was easy and the port forwarding software worked well. Easy enough for most dummies. I think the DVR is the glass jaw on this one. For price and risk I would not reccommend. I bought on sale. $899 is too much for a DVR that costs $500 to replace. I may consider other like brands. Better brand exist but not for this money. PS Lorex online ticket system is the worst. WORST!
