Is a 1080p rated camera and NVR only good for viewing on my TV or PC? In other words, is there a difference between 1080p and 720p when viewing live feed from my phone or tablet? Or is there no difference in viewing a live feed?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleased with my purchase I can't give a full 5 stars because I only installed it a couple weeks ago. But so far, I'm happy. As with any security camera system, camera placement involves some planning. It is easier to install the cameras in soffits than through brick. With Power Over Ethernet (POE), you only need to run an ethernet cable to each camera, and each camera comes with plenty of cable, so it is fairly simple. The only thing I didn't like was that each camera has a wire harness pigtail with the female connector for the ethernet connection. That pigtail has to get fed through a hole to the inside of the house to make the ethernet connection, which requires a hole about 1 1/8" in diameter in whatever surface you're mounting to. It makes installation on a brick surface a little more difficult. The cameras are easy to adjust, and capture good video in both daytime and night time. There are plenty of settings so you can adjust your picture brightness, along with motion sensitivity settings so bugs don't trigger the cameras to record. Connecting to my iPhone was extremely simple - just download an app and take a pic of the QR code on the NVR unit to read the serial number. Now I can just open the app and see a live view of my cameras right on my phone. Kudos to Lorex for making iPhone viewing so simple to set up and operate. September 22, 2015
