Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 72 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Only using half of what it can do..... I installed the system in mid September, so my review only deals with a few weeks.....I opted to place the camera inside the house, behind the picture window. As a result - the night vision aspect has never really been tested, for once the sun sets - all I get is reflections of the night sensor lights on the screen. The manual said to expect this, and if I had a way to place the camera outside with an electrical source close by - I would....and I am almost certain that it would work completely as specified, if I did. I really am shortchanging the ability of the overall system by doing this, so if you do purchase same - and can place the camera outside under a protected overhang - I believe you will like the equipment!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Didn't think we needed it. We puchased this but in our home only one of us thought we needed this extra protection. After some serious convincing, we purchaced, and then installed. After just a few days of installation, BAMM! The camera alerted us that someone was on our property, as it turns out, it was some thugs checking out the neighbors house, once we saw what was going on we contacted the police, we turned on our house lights, and scared the thugs away. Who knows what would have happened if we did not have the camera system. We have an alarm system, but this is the icing on the cake, I feel totally protected with the added security this system offers us. January 15, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very easy setup, even for me. It really is a plug and play camera. The only problem I had was the remote control stopped working and it is the only way to operate the system. No problem. I called the company and they sent another remote control and it is working fine. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the motion detector did not pick up as far as I would like for it to, but it does work well enough to pick up movement if it is aimed correctly. I wish I had it before someone walked away with several of our outside items. It would have helped me catch them. I may add my 4th camera soon. I am pleased with this system. February 16, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lorex live SD I bought this about 2 months ago. I live in Florida and I have a stucco house with block walls. The only problem I had and they due warn you about the type of walls I have, is placement of the monitor and cameras. I had to move them around until I received a good signal from both cameras. Do not do anything permanent until you check everything out first. Besides that, it is very easy to setup and the pictures of the front door and back yard are clear. I did my homework before deciding on this unit.;. I would gladly recommend this to anyone for ease of installation and quality of the product. February 15, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good starter system This was my first choice buying a wireless camera system. It was very easy to install and the clarity is excellent. Night vision is limited since it is a lower end system but the clarity is great. The motion sensor is good for about 30 feet at night and a little further in the day time but quite nice. Since it is a wireless system and operates at 2.4 gz it can interfer with a home wifi system. a simple wifi channel change from auto to setting 5 corrected any furthur problems. Range from camera to monitor is about 45ft with minor obstructions but antenna extensions are available to help with bigger obstructions. I like this system and using an SD card to record is easy to maintain and record images. February 16, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lorex Wireless video monitoring system Pro's The wireless interface works very well and makes use of SSL security. Screen has a small footprint. Good for RV and apartment. Motion detection work well. Con's Menu is difficult to use while reviewing and deleting digital captures. Easier to format SDcard. Small screen it is hard to see while in quad mode. Time and date need to be reset if unplugged and moved. Want's Bigger screen - 14inch would be nice Battery backup for time and date. More storage space for recording. USB or Firewire interface to attach a external digital SSD disk or USB external disk. February 16, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but with small issues I purchased this indoor outdoor two camera system for basic home security and it has worked quite well, but has had a few small problems. Within 2 months of purchase, one of the camera power supplies stopped working. I called techncial suppport and had a new one in my hands within the week. Excellent service. The second issue is occuring right now. The screen/recording unit loses all date and time information when shut off, and occasionally the screen scrolls down so the time/date cannot be read. I have tried to contact customer service about this, but my calls have not been returned. I am sure that once I get through or they call back, my issues will be resolved. Overall a good quality product and I would suggest it to others. February 16, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Using as a baby monitor with two cameras and one camera on the front door. The product has better range than most baby monitors on the market and is more cost effective. I also like how the cameras don't send an audible signal to the monitor unless it detects new sound. Only thing I would change is would be nice to be able to turn sound completely off. Can only go to a "low" sound. May 21, 2013
