The product was sold with an inferior "Mini Bolt" connecting the ball to the rotating shaft. This made the ball loosely mounted.
This is a fragile product & must be handled with care. It cannot withstand a jolt as I found out. The ball had to be "crazy glued" back on.
The disco ball is best operated in total darkness. An alternate I discovered is shining a mini flashlight centered on the rotating ball. The impact is a much brighter moving light pattern.

It was exactly what I needed. I would highly recommend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grandma perfect for my little grandaughters
Our granddaughters always expect something new and exciting during their yearly visit. This year we thought maybe a disco ball would fill the bill. Of course, we felt that the traditional disco ball used for parties and dances would be a bit much. When our little ones saw THIS one with the sparkly lights, they were thrilled beyond words. We are so happy with this purchase.

I didn't buy this for myself but for my niece. She's 9 years old and was having her room painted. She loved the product and that's all I really care about. I also got her some other lamps from the HD site. I'm told it was a blast with her friends when she had sleepovers. It was of good quality and arrived on time.

My 11 year old granddaughter wanted a disco ball for Christmas. I chose this one because I thought it would reflect like the "real" thing. She loves it!!

I bought this for our girls playroom they love it. I have also used it in our living room on a couple of occasions to add sparkle to other parties. It is a fun conversation piece and is super sparkly. I really like that I can reposition the spot lights and expand the range of the disco effects. FUN! FUN!
