RE: Model # TT-300H-WH Internet # 100001525

I have a touch lamp that I have to plug in to work; touch lamp feature stopped working. Will this dimmer actually turn off totally so I do not have to bend down to unplug touch lamp that is not working correctly?

Answer:
It has a slider switch. which takes it to the off mode. For $12.00 its worth a try. Or for the $12.00 put it towards a new lamp....just sayn. The cord with the slider is about 3 foot away from the plug in so you can place it on the table or couch without having to bend over to unplug it.

No. Plug in your device to the dimmer plug and plug into outlet. dimmer is on a chord. Off is full dim = off. This item burns out. Save your money and find a different manufacturer until Home Depot replaces this manufacturers product

Answer:
There is no separate switch. However, the lowest setting for the dimmer is "off," and the "off" position has a click to it like a switch. For all practical purposes, the answer to your question is "yes." You can and should use this to turn on and off the lamp.

I would think so. Be certain that your Christmas tree lights can be dimmed. Some LED bulbs cannot be dimmed. The power strip might interfere with the ability to dim. Would be better if this were between the power strip and the bulb instead of plugging in a power strip to this.

We use this plug to control light for my elderly mother who doesn't like to sleep in total darkness in the event she has to get up in the middle of the night, but at the same time doesn't want to be disturbed by a bright light. This Dimmer allows just the right amount of light when desired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed. Unobtrusive. Works great. A light dimmer. It plugs into the wall and you plug the light into it. It must be within easy reach so you can adjust the brightness of the light. So you have the lamp cord plugged into this thing on your desk which has its own line cord going down to the outlet. What a mess! Right? Wrong! Lutron designed the Credenza dimmer with a special outlet for the lamp as part of the Lutron 120-volt plug. All cords are out of sight. Great design!
