Answer:
This would not be the case and no where in the instruction guide would it say this. If our products get to a certain temperature, they will fail internally before a fire or anything that could damage your home would occur.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install, works perfectly This is the second one I bought. I intsalled one a year ago and it has been great, so it was time to do the other bathroom. Quick and easy to install. Now the lights can be set to the brightness desired. I don't think about the fan sucking the air conditioned air out all day long with the timer. Very happy to have this. Now if the kids would stop clogging the........ July 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Product Works perfectly for my situation. I wanted a dimmer and a timer in the bathroom but only had a singe-gang box. Putting this combo unit in was faster (and cheaper) than changing the box to a double-gang, and then buying a separate dimmer and timer. Works great. Just a note...this timer does require a neutral wire, so check inside your box first to ensure you have one there. If you don't, you 'll have to rewire things, or buy a separate dimmer and a timer that doesn't require a neutral. February 6, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesnt workb with LED lights, only incandescent lights The instructions in the box say don't use with any other lights except incandesent lights or you may start a fire. Yikes! Returned it to the store for a refund. The corkscrew type lightbulbs are not incandesent lights. Good idea to read the instructions that come inside the box with the switch. February 5, 2013
