I stayed in a five star resort in Reno that had these and I loved them. They are without a doubt very unique. After installing I heard a high pitched hum coming from the light. I checked another location in which I installed this dimmer and the same hum can be heard. This light switch is for locations where mood setting is the requirement and with this annoying hum , they fail miserably. I will be retuning these as soon as possible.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AlfredMN Product does not last
I installed this combo in my kitchen remodel about 5 years ago, and have the single dimmer in two other rooms. The touch pad of this unit wears out after a few years. In that time, three units have failed - the spring behind the touch pad breaks. It can still be used, but you have to manually toggle the little switch on the bottom. Dimmer still works, but it does not have the full function that you paid for. Not surprisingly, the units that get the most use fail first. This is just me and my wife, so it is not abused by kids.
To make matters worse, the remote units can ONLY be used with a master unit, they can not be used as a standalone single unit. I just had my second master unit fail, so I am not going to buy another set, and not impressed with Lutron.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hammond Very poor quality, but recently upgraded in last one year
Alfred MN's review below hit the nail precisely on the head. I bought 74 of these for my custom, multi-million dollar home; they have limited use in the 15 hours per week I spend there. The weak springs failed in the large on/off switches as well as the dimmer side toggles. Of 74 of them, 48 have completely failed in the last three years. Manufacturer Lutron must have recognized this, since about a year ago, the springs were strengthened. I cannot vouch for the performance since of the upgraded model, but have been replacing all of mine. Only five of the new model have failed of the 48. I still would not recommend this product. It is cheap and the new one is now made in Mexico and no longer comes with a face plate. You must purchase face plates in separate blister pack.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trin333 Very useful
I bought this kit for our stairwell area. One for downstairs and the other for the upstairs. This unit is very functional. It has a delay-off feature that we use when leaving the house. The hall light stays on long enough for us to exit without the need for turning on/off additional lights on our way out. The dimmer feature is good for nighttime bathroom visits since our bedroom door faces the connecting hall. Overall a very good purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hendo Lutron 3-way dimmer
The Lutron Maestro 600 watt 3- way dimmer is something that I like to work with. They are easy to work with not to mention self explanatory.I liked this product because it was easy to install for the great quality it has. The price is definetly reasonable in my opinion just from the experience i have had with this product and all Lutron appliances. I recommend this product because Lutron has dependable products.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JoeK Do not use with LED lights
I like the dimmers but do not use with LED lights. I moved them to another location with regular lights and they work great. If you use them with LED, every time you turn the lights on, no matter how the dimmer is set, the lights flash on and off like a disco. With 6 lights connected to this circuit, it will drive you crazy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by monkeybutt83 Good unit
I installed one set in our master suite, and it worked great! However I was installing recessed lighting in our main bedroom, and the unit i had purchased was faulty, the lights were just staying on! After a quick exchange, I was back in business. I like that the mastero can control multiple slave switches. up to 9 or 11 i think...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tremelune Does what it says
No surprises with this switch...It turns the lights on, off, and lets you set them to a specified dim setting. The LED indicator is helpful and not obnoxious, but is only present on one dimmer.
One three-pole dimmer can be used with a standard 3-pole switch with no issues, but it makes the standard switch pretty much useless.
