The Maestro Single Pole Digital Dimmer from Lutron provides an easy to operate tap switch that turns lights on and off to your favorite light level. Press, hold and release the switch for delayed fade-to-off. Delayed fade-to-off gives you 10-60 seconds to leave the room or get into bed before the lights go out. Adjust the light level for any activity using the rocker. LEDs display the light level and glow softly in the dark, so you can easily find the control. Maestro dimmers are perfect for every room of your home. Wallplate is included in this package, and coordinating Maestro accessories can be purchased separately.

  • One tap on/off to selected light level, two taps full bright, press and hold for 10 second fade to off
  • Delayed off provides light as you exit the room

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 29 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 Broke after 6 months The electronics work great, but the plastic switch pieces broke internally after six month. I'm an engineer, so I took it apart to see if I could fix it, of course... The injection molded plastic parts are poorly designed with thin cross sections in a rather brittle plastic. I managed to bond a spacer in the switch that replaces the part that broke, but out of the box, it is just a bad mechanical design and/or material choice. I have seen this same under sized mechanical part design on other failed Lutron dimmer switches and now I just avoid anything from Lutron. My spacer fix was done almost ten years ago and it is still working fine today. If they fixed the molded plastic parts they would be great switches. September 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by high quality product, excellent ergonomics This dimmer seems to be of higher quality than other brands that I've worked with. It is easy to install, and works very nicely. My wife hated our Leviton touch plate dimmers (similarly priced) for years, finding them unintuitive and glitchy to operate. Even though they were both working, I replaced them with this Lutron Maestro model for the improved ergonomics and ease of use. They've been installed for less than a week and my wife is delighted with them. I love the way they gradually fade the lights when switched on or off. They remember their preset level when switched off - a single tap returns to the preset level. A double tap goes to full power (gradually, of course). When leaving the room press and hold the button for about 2 seconds. The lights will remain on for about 20-30 seconds then turn off automatically, giving one time to exit (or get into bed) without having to stumble around in the dark. An excellent feature, much more useful than I would have thought. Another plus is that these seem to be less prone to buzzing than other dimmers. If I listen carefully, standing very close to the switch, I can hear a faint buzz - however it's inaudible more than a few feet from the dimmer. By comparison, I could clearly hear the Leviton dimmer from 10 feet away, or more. I can't speak about the durability of these devices due to the short time they've been installed. It's expect that a device which seems to be as well thought out as this will last at least as long as the competition. October 30, 2006
Rated 4 out of 5 by NOT A Multi-Location Dimmer Switch The switch itself is fine, but the title for this item here on Home Depot's web site is incorrect. This switch, the MAW-600H, is NOT a 3-way or multi-location dimmer switch. It is single-pole only. If you want a 3-way or multi-location switch you have to get a MA-600 (no "W" or "H"). May 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to install Directions and diagrams are very clear. Looks bettrer than a play old standard switch. March 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Few quirks with CFL. Keep old bulb just in case. I have one of this dimmer for four years and I installed another this month. No. 1: Make sure dimmer is returned to highest setting before changing to dimmable CFL. I finally changed my halogen bulb with a dimmable CFL. After I installed all the CFL in my recessed lights it would not turn on and the level indicator is stuck at the 2nd to lowest level and would not go up. I turn it off and put in the old bulb in one of the cans, reset to highest setting, removed the old bulb, and the dimmer function worked as usual No. 2: Whenever I replace my lights with CFL that uses this dimmer and somehow it would not turn on, I'll just screw in the old bulb in one of the other socket turn it on then remove. That seems to solve everything. No. 3: This switch features a so called "locator light" that when the switch is OFF there is a very faint light at the same place where the light level indicator is. I recently bought and installed the Philips AmbientLED bulb (the ones with yellow coating) from HD. Although the bulb and dimmer function worked just fine together, when the switch is off the locator light blinks rapidly all the time. It is quite annoying even more so if its in the bedroom. So in closing, when buying this and planning on using dimmable CFL, keep your old bulb handy. March 25, 2011
