Answer:
This product is meant for use in controlling lights, not fans. If you are looking for a fan control, Lutron manufactures model # MIR-FQ4FM-WH, which is an infrared wireless fan control.

@Lutron: Realized that you guys don't do free shipping to stores in Canada? I'm from Mississauga, ON, Canada, I've checked the location near me, if they sell just the remote control and the sales associate didn't know. Is there a way you can check if it can be shipped to stores in Canada?
Thanks!

Answer:
This dimmer is only rated for use with incandescent and halogen bulbs. If you are looking for a wireless solution to dim your LEDs, I would recommend checking out our Caseta Wireless family of controls (model # P-PKG1W-WH-D).

Answer:
The bulb type determines dimmability: some LEDs are, some aren't: the box is marked accordingly.

Maestro IR 600-Watt Single-Pole Digital Dimmer - White is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I change the switches in my bathroom now I can go in without worrying about touching the switch. If I want light later I just reach the remote that I attach to the wall with Velcro and that it is. Light on

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, but not for LED's Have 2 one these for a year with no problems. It works fine for incandescent bulbs, but I've noticed that it won't dim certain LED's. I have recessed lights that I use the dimmer for. Once I replaced the GU10 bulbs with LED's, the dimming function stopped working and the LED's wouldn't power on. All I would get is a fickler. I had to revert back to my incandescent bulbs. If you want to dim LED's, you have to buy a light switch and dimmer that's compatible with LED's. All in all it's a great product. I'm waiting for Maestro to come out with a dimmer switch that's LED compatible.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does the job I bought this switch for the remote feature, not the dimmer. I recently moved into a new apartment with an awkwardly located switch in the foyer. With this switch installed, I use the remote to control the light while covering the original switch location with a painting. The switch itself works really well. But the remote isn't great. I frequently have to press the buttons really hard to get a response. This is annoying when I'm trying to run out the door or am coming home with a lot of bags. I don't use the dimmer function so I can't speak to that. I'm using this with 4 recessed halogen lights. So far no problems there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked with my LED lights with no problem After reading some of the reviews, I was very skeptical if the IR dimmer would work with my LED light bulbs. I did not have to install any other type as some of the previous reviews indicated. But I went ahead and took the chance anyway. It took five minutes to install, and the dimmer worked absolutely perfect without any problems what so ever. I am extremely pleased with the purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neat wireless switch, handy when switches are not exactly where you would like them. A little pricey but worth the cost for me. The switch functions well with the remote and the wall switch itself. It has a good "view" of the remote too. I use the remote at almost 180 degrees, but, it will see the remote at about 102 degrees or so. The remote beam does bounce off things like glass and "clicks" when I point it at a window or glass bookshelf door. I needed this because the switch for the lights over my desk is over and behind the desk and just about 1 inch further than my arm can reach! Ha! the remote works nicely with full on and full off buttons and a dimmer. The remote is big enough for my large hands to operate and not drop but tiny enough not to take up much room. The off button is really "high visibility" so you can hit it without much effort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for incandescent, bad for LED Worked great when I had incandescent lamps. Nice remote. Recently installed HD Ecosmart dimmable LED lights. Dimmer does not get along with them. After a few minutes, LED lights start flashing. Lutron tech support was of no help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent switch The brightness level is set using the vertical toggle (right of the center on/off switch), and is indicated by a single glowing LED (left of the on/off switch) or, when the light is on, by the brighter of the 7 glowing LEDs. Touch the on/off switch anywhere, and the light will come on to the brightness last set by the toggle; touch it twice quickly, and the light brightens fully, regardless of the brightness setting, which persists until reset using the toggle. The LEDs are not distracting at night, yet still visible during the day. Perfectly suited to its intended purpose, with an equally suited remote, the signal from which is picked up by the horizontal rectangular window near the bottom of the on/off switch.
