I see both on homedepot.com; the descriptions are nearly identical, but only one of the two is available in stores. What's different, and when would I choose one over the other?

Answer:
The only difference between the items is the packaging that they come in. The H stands for clam shell packaging and the R stands for standard retail packaging.

Answer:
In most cases it is something that you would be able to do yourself. Lutron offers a bunch of helpful videos online as well as a 24/7 Technical Support service that would be happy to help you through it. Just make sure to turn your power off before doing any work!

The Lutron catalog has different numbers than Home Depot. I bought the CFL/LED model, but I can't tell if it is compatible with magnetic low-voltage.

Unfortunately, Lutron C•L dimmers are not compatible with low voltage lighting. An answer given for the Leviton SureSlide 660-Watt dimmer stated that the FEIT LED bulbs purchased from Costco hummed with that product. Does anyone know if the FEIT bulbs hum with this Lutron Skylark?

Answer:
I have never had one hum on me, but if I did would just change to the Lutron Diva is a better dimmer anyway. Have never liked the Leviton dimmers, to many bad run-ins with them
