Install was easy. Just pay attention to where the wires are coming out of your old switch and put them in the appropriate hole in the new one. This one worked with my halogen fixture (I had to return one that didn't).

Finally a dimmer switch that looks like the rest of the switches in the house. I hated those round buttons mixed in with other switches in a multi switch plate.

I purchased this to replace a standard incandescent dimmer, made by the same manufacturer and, identical except for the fine tuning pot on the unit. It did not work any better than the incandescent unit and, created quite a buzz with the led lights it is controlling. What good is a dimmer if it makes your ears ring?

This is a great product in the sense that it supports all types of dimmable bulbs and can be used as a 2-way or 3-way switch. Easy to install and reuses the existing switch plate.

Simple install just be aware if you are using this on a single pole install on where the wires go since this can be used in a 3 way switch installation. Very snug on the left hand side inside the box but I had to make sure it was pushed to the extreme left in a 2 gang box installation so that you can get the cover plate over the 2 switches esp the dimmer slide.
There is a slight delay when turning on the switch to the light fixture. I have LED dimmable bulbs so not sure if that is the issue. But it is a 1 second delay. Nothing to worry about or think it is a switch malfunction.

I replaced an old Levitron 600 rotary dimmer in the bathroom since it went bad. The bulbs on this dimmer are 2 Philips Warm-glow A19 LED's (455741). The Levitron dimmer would dim the bulbs but not very well. They also didn't dim very low and would completely turn off at lower settings.
The installation of the Lutron Dimmer was easy. I had a single-pole swicth (only the bottom 2 screws are used). It probably took me 15-20 minutes to remove and install the new switch.
I really liked the fine-turning option on this dimmer. I slid the knob all the way to the left to get the Philips bulbs as low as they could go. Turning on and off the swtich at the lowest setting worked quite well. The light has stayed on at the lowest setting and seems to handle the lowest setting way better than the Levitron.
The only thing I noticed is that the switch seems a little more flimsy than a normal switch. I guess this is mostly due to the fact that the switch needs to be slimmer so there is rooms for the sliding dimmer.
Here's why I bought the Lutron - A few years ago I bought a lutron dimmer for 7 Philips 150 Lumen dimmable candle LED's in my foyer. It didn't dim that well and flickered while dimming. I wrote a somewhat negative review about the dimmer. After I wrote my review, I got an email from a Lutron representative who asked questions about my bulbs and then sent me a replacement dimmer. He made adjustments to the new dimmer (which worked very well) and told me that they are always adjusting the dimmers as new lights are introduced. I have never forgot this and now I go to Lutron first for any new dimmer switches. The quality and customer service are exceptional.

I bought 8 of these and only 4 ended up working after installation. might consider a different product for dimming.
