How is this tub fastened to the wall?

Purchased this tub and learned there are no holes drilled in the flanges for fastening to the wall so I am trying to figure out a way to do this. Drilling holes seems risky as it may crack the vinyl?? Directions say to screw to wall with screws through the holes in flange but there are no pre-drilled holes. What to do??

Answer:
We do not predrill holes and we do not require pilot holes. The product is made from Acrylic capped ABS which is a softer material that is easy to drill through without any cracking.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value, but lots of installation work for a DIY I got a little bit lucky with the installation of this 54" tub although I certainly had to work hard to achieve a couple of lucky breaks. The existing tub came out with less trouble than I had imagined. I had watched a couple of Youtube videos about installing tubs. After watching those videos and comparing the new tub with the old tub, I realized that there was a difference in the height of the two tubs. I had to build a 2 x 4 frame with 1/2 inch Hardi Backer to hold the tub. I had initially bought the wrong shower and tub faucet connections and had to buy a second set that fit properly. Lining up the drainage pipe underneath the tub was also a challenge. I had purchased the surround wall for this tub. I had about 1/2" to spare installing the surround wall. Cutting out the holes in the panel for the water lines was also a challenge. I eventually got the tub and surround wall installed. You should plan on 8 to 10 hours worth of work. September 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the money We had to have a special size tub as it was going into an older mobile home. This tub fit perfectly and while among some of the cheapest priced ones I looked at, I was impressed with the quality of the unit. I am remodeling this home for resale and this tub really dresses up the bathroom. I actually purchased two of these and plan on buying two more. The surround (purchased from a different vendor and brand) was another story. July 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tub as described but sidewall kit is very expensive almost 400 dollars for the one that matches tub and the company says to use, so i will tile the walls cost is the same just more labor for me October 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very small Ordered with surround. Surround came in broken. We looked at tub. Very small and decided it would not be very comfortable for an adult to bathe in or shower. Not very deep either. July 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by easy replacement like that this tub is deeper than old tub and it fit in place of old tub glad i could find replacement for manufactured home .thanks home depot . March 31, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by it is what I expected It is what I ordered. However, it barely fit in the 54" space it was ordered for. January 7, 2015
