Many of the reviews talk about the need for flex overflow or drain, but don't say where to get it. Would like to know before we buy the tub and can't find it.

Sax 5 ft. Freestanding Reversible Drain Bathtub in White is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Tub This is a beautiful tub that makes a statement in a modern bathroom renovation. I didn't want a huge tub but it is still deep and roomy. Price is great and money is saved by using deck mounted faucets. Installation was a little tricky but not insurmountable. You can't beat this one for the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some instructions would be nice This was a great price compared to other free standing tubs. But you would think that for the price it would include drain hardware and maybe instructions that weren't general for 4 different models. Spent far too much time trying to figure out what they wanted from bad diagrams of a totally different model. Drain kit had to be custom cut while the tub was upside down. You will need lots of clearance around the tub to caulk the edge after installation. Wooden blocks used for shipping were more securely attached than the legs making them difficult to pry off. The list goes on an on of things you need to figure out by trial and error. Not impressed and it's still not installed because the legs won't level easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maax Sax tub Quality finish. Very sturdy once caulked. Followed advice from another review to insulate between tub and skirt...so glad we did. Lip around tub is a little rough but ran a bead of caulk over lip; problem solved. Installing plumbing was a bit challenging but not sure if that's design or user challenge. Overall pleased with tub and would recommend to anyone redoing their bathroom with a stand alone tub. Might recommend a free-standing filer, though as deck is kinda small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone loves this tub What a great looking tub. All our friends are jealous. We built a 12x12 bath with a ceramic tile shower but still wanted a soak-er tub. My wife loves sitting in it and soaking her day away. I love washing the grandkids after they have been playing in there for hours. The high back rest is so comfortable. The nice thing is that it is made of fiberglass so it was easy to carry up stairs. And it carries a 5 year warranty. We had a plumber/carpenter install it and he said it wasn't hard at all. We chose the white to match the sink and toilet. We even found beautiful Mediterranean Bronze fixtures to match everything else in our bathroom. Yes I would recommend this tub to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed, should have researched more. Although lovely looking, this tub is fiberglass which we discovered isn't the best material. It looked good from a distance, but sounded hollow and looked cheap up close and so we returned the tub. It was nothing like the solid feeling high quality acryllic tubs and resin tubs that one can find. This is a low price, but definitely was a lower quality tub than what we wanted to put in our home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Essential Piece not included!!!!!!!! When buying this tube, Please be aware that it does not come with an over flow flex pipe...This pipe has to be ordered separately and as I found out it takes 4-6 weeks to get the pipe. NO ONE in Edmonton carries it. If I had purchased the tub from MAXX this pipe would have been included with the tub..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great! Did a complete bathroom makeover and the top was purchased for the price and the drain location option - quality is good and I'm very much pleased. Small hiccups came with shipping to my home instead of the store - so best of luck to all that try that. Once it did arrive though, all went well. Very pretty - very simple.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maax Tub My plumber, who is experienced in installing freestanding tubs, said this was the most difficult tub he has ever installed. It is very thin, and in order to improve the insulation he used spray foam in between the inner portion and outer portion. This did help, and the tub holds heat pretty well. Two other issues: he said the tub is mainly intended for second floor installation because the only way to replace the hardware (faucet, etc) is to get at it from the bottom. That isn't happening here now that it is secured to our first floor tile floor. Second issue: In order to level the tub, there had to be a huge gap...like at least an inch in some places between the bottom of the tub and the tile floor. My husband used caulk to seal it up and it looked terrible (in my opinion). To fix this, I purchased flexible molding from Amazon, painted it white and glued it on. Overall looks great and gave my bathroom the look I was going for. I recommend checking with a plumber first before you purchase this!
