Someone or you, yes. If you're at all handy, it's a matter of cutting the sheetrock between studs in the dimensions of back of the safe, putting it in that hole and screwing it to the studs from inside the safe.

The inside locking bolts do take up space, but why I gave it 4 stars is because you have to change the batteries out at some point. There is a key to open it, but our other wall safe has rechargeable batteries, along with keys, so that if the batteries are dead you just plug in the charger. That way you never have to go looking for the key, and never have to buy batteries. Overall it's a solid well built safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wall safe Bought this on sale, actually ordered two right away, for the money, they were well worth it. Now i know where my important papers, passports, etc. are at all times. Very easy to install, use a studfinder to figure out where in the wall you can put it and you can also hide it in plain sight and put a picture over it like in the movies. I'd buy them again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keypad failed after 2 1/2 years Replaced batteries but keypad still not accepting input. I will call NATItools and see if replacement parts are available, but most likely they will cost more than what the safe cost. I will use the key until fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy For the price this is a very good item. I was only looking for a small wall safe for some jewelry and this was perfect. Not very deep because it fits in a 4" stud wall but does the trick. I purchased some magnetic hooks for the interior so my wife could hang her items and it works fine. Not a good purchase if you are looking for a safe large enough for storing papers or a handgun as it is not deep enough. Installation was not a problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wall Safe Order came in timely fashion. Installation went smoothly. The one problem we did have was the safe was pre programed to open with a preset code. After several attempts we decided to open interior panel to discover the wiring was never connected. Once connected it opened fine. I would recommend this safe to others. Maybe QC should make sure the safe opens before they box it.
