Customer Questions & Answers

What color of grout is recommended with the Montagna Gunstock Tile?

Asked by: Good
I used charcoal and love it. It picked up the darker color in the tile and lightened a tad when it was sealed.

does this tile need to be sealed after grouting?

Asked by: mba2ry
Generally most grout needs to be sealed 72 hrs after installation. Grout is porous and easily absorbs grease and stains, which can change the color. Sealing makes it easier to keep your grout clean and seals out moisture. It is recommended that you clean and reseal your grout every few years with a silicone sealer to keep it looking great .

My wife and I are looking for something to replace the tile on the hearth in front of our fireplace and wondered if this tile would work

We have installed tile in our dinning room and hall way, the rest of the floors in our house are hardwood that we installed and just want to carry that look over to the carpeted living room
Asked by: JtKjj
This tile would work well. The tile is porcelain which makes it very hard and durable. It looks nice next to brick and rock, and would compliment both with its wood look. I say try it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tile - Grout suggestion I laid this tile in my man cave a little over 2 years ago. It has held up great! The grout that I used wasn't the ideal color for my tastes once it dried though. I think a darker grout with this tile looks better. I used a brown but after it dried it turned a chalky gray color. One day my dog was on the back porch and a storm came through. He got scared and chewed up a bottle of peanut oil I had back there. At first I was mad but looked at the grout that the oil had penetrated and it was a much darker and richer color. Next thing I knew I had a paint brush and was applying a light coat on the rest of the grout to match. End product = fantastic. True story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and realistic My installer didn't have any problems installing the tile with a minimal grout line. The color/patterns look natural and even the feel of the tile resembles wood. The texture helps with the slip factor. Of course furniture slides some but with socks we do not. There is a slight shine but it's very minimal and I like that. It adds to the appearance. There was very little waste. I used charcoal grout and it blended perfectly with the darker tones in the wood. I wish I had installed this sooner. Lighting makes a difference. Excuse the laundry room, but the lighting in that picture really shows the color and tones compared to the bedroom picture. It's all the same lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Very impressed! We installed 650 square feet of tile in the living spaces of our home and it turned out great! After lots of research we decided to use the sable brown sanded grout and 1/8 spacers. We had very few chips in the tile or broken pieces. It was a lot of work to install but totally worth it. Our biggest issue was a few light grey lines in the grout which someone said was from too much water in the grout. Looks like hardwood. We took off baseboards, repainted and re-installed. The sable brown silicone commercial caulk was sticky and an awful choice. We grouted right up against our other tile and it looks good. Love our new floors. With two 70 lb dogs this was a good idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow Our Dining Room Looks Great! We had this tile sitting in our garage for 6 months. My husband installed a wood floor in our dining room 8 years ago that I was never happy with. So when I found this tile I knew this would be our new flooring. Well it took me 6 months to convince him to tear out the glued down flooring and install this. We are BOTH very pleased with the out come. I read each of the reviews and there were several helpful ideas from people who had already installed it.
