Love the floor with the Brazilian Slate Porcelain tile. We used the same tile on the wall with a design and it is excellent. The back splash wall tile appears to be darker then the floor, although it is the same tile just a smaller size.

Rich color, texture makes it great for kitchens. Appearance of a natural stone with the strength to hold up to two kids, two dogs, two adults, and multiple falling objects.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jjCoolBreeze Very nice tile.
I used this tile in various sizes for my shower surround and the 16 X 16 tile for the floor. I just laid the floor yesterday and plan to grout tonight. I was originally going to use 18 X 18 travertine tile (beautiful tile) on the floor but decided instead to use the Brazilian Slate because it is much easier to lay. It has a nice beveled edge which is "DIY Friendly" as it isn't always that easy to get the tiles perfectly level and the bevel hides these slight imperfections. My only complaint isn't directed solely at this tile but all ceramic and/ or porcelain glazed tile as it "chips" on the edge when you cut it exposing the unglazed interior of the tile.

I was initially looking for a gray slate type tile and this immediately caught my eye. Both the price and shade showing on my monitor looked great. I started reading the reviews and realized the color would be more in the brown/mocha/tan family. We still liked it, judging by the finished product pictures, and adjusted our remodel color scheme accordingly. After waiting two weeks, the product arrived today. I didn't open all the boxes and maybe we got a bad batch but the ones we viewed are all same shade of an peachy type sand color. There are also no variations between the tiles- they are all either exactly the same or close enought that any differences are imperceptible. The quality looks fine and it's not bad tile, it's just very different than described.

Although the texture and color pattern make them look nice , the texture on tile surface make grout during installation very hard to remove from tile front and it will be hard to clean

I shopped MANY stores for the perfect tile to complement my new quartz countertop. This tile has flecks of quartz on it, and it also came in the 6x6 size for the backsplash as well. My installer was impressed with the quality of this Marazzi tile. We also had this tile installed on the front porch with 2x2 brown tile strip to mark the edge of the steps.
Oh yes, another BIG reason we bought this tile.... the surface is heavily textured for our senior barefoot safety, but not rough enough to irritate. With 4 dogs in the home, I appreciate how easily this tile can be swept or steam-cleaned.

We selected this tile for its appearance and porcelain durability and used it for our great room, dining and kitchen area of approx. 950 sq. ft. We wanted a slate-like texture to complement our Mediterranean plaster interior wall textures and this product worked very well. After completing teh project we had about 12 boxes left so we decided to tile a patio wall that is just ourside teh great room - this is a product that works for interior and exterior locations.
