I used Fusion Pro oyster gray and love it. Went on well, cleaned up well with no haze, and appears to be holding up well in a rental situation.

Inconsistent Tile Thickness between sizes

This question is from Travisano Trevi 12 in. x 12 in. Porcelain Floor and Wall Tile (14.40 sq. ft. / case)
Asked by

I noticed the thicknesses listed in the specs on the different sizes of Travisano Trevi tile varies. For instance: 6x6, 12x12 and bullnose pieces are listed as 8mm (.31”) thick, but the 12x24 is 10mm (.39”) and the 18x18 is 9mm (.35”). True, the differences are miniscule, but why is this and, more importantly, does it cause installation issues if a combination of different sizes are installed on one surface (e.g., the floor)?

I used the 6" square and the 12" square tiles on my floor and didn't notice any real difference is thickness, if there is any it is VERY minimal and my floor came out level with no bumps or raises. I love it!

Answer:
I had no trouble with mine that way at all, but I'd think that given the small variance, you could easily make up any difference in the mortar while laying the tiles. (That is certainly the case sometimes with Saltillo tile, and I've always compensated with mortar thickness.)

Answer:
The thickness variance listed is correct and if the tiles are installed together you can make up the difference by putting more thin set under the tiles however you cannot create a pattern using all the different sizes.

We used Desert Fortress semi gloss for the trim and Riviera Dune semi gloss for the main color. Behr paint and primer in one is the best.

I just completed my bathroom with this tile. The tiles vary in colors of off white, gray and browns. I considered gray for the walls, but since my bathroom is small and without a window, I decided to go with a spa blue-green.

Answer:
The tile is fairly neutral so you can probably get away with just about anything. Personally I'd lean toward the earth tones, but it'd depend on where you're planning to install the tile. I used it along with several other kinds of tile on pool steps, and as you can see from the pictures, there's more than just earth tones.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks like something from a Fancy Hotel You can't mess up the design with this tile. No need to cherry pick the box, they all go together and look amazing. We paired it with the matching trim and the floor tile is Ms International Kensington Mosaic tile and bathroom floor tile is Marazzi Montagna Rustic Bay. All from Home Depot. June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful floor tile for our bathroom! We used the 12" tiles with the 6" tiles to create a pattern and we love it! The colors in the tile work great with our Gray walls, but could easily go with something in the Beige family. The tile cut really well with the wet saw and when I needed a smaller piece I was able to snap it with the nippers -- snipped cleanly each time. I highly recommend this tile. June 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This tile looks beautiful for shower wall I read all the reviews & looked at all the pictures of this tile & chose this one for our bathroom shower remodel. I found a design that I liked & I showed my tile setter that this is what I want it to look like. The end result looks amazing. My tile guy said the quality of the tile was good and pretty easy to set on the walls. I used the 12 x 12's & the 6 x 6's along with a boarder design in the middle & edge tiles that go with this tile pattern. My bathroom is small so to get a full picture of the shower was hard to do. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First Time Tile Install #1 Tip: Hire it done! If doing it yourself..... more tips I learned: Hardie-Backer board: Scribe and pull UP. Install with 1/4" x 1/4" trowel, thin-set and screws. Wet before install. Mix thin-set to peanut-butter consistency. “Damp sponge” or spray to wet the Hardie-Backer board. Use a 3/8” x 1/4" notched trowel. Back butter tiles flush. Wipe away mortar from edges before laying tile, finger width. Wiggle tile into place, and tap with rubber mallet. Use cut-off paint brush to clean any squeeze out. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! We love our tile. We used this in the guest bathroom. We would like to use it in the master bedroom. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love this tile! I did 2 bathroom floors using this tile and am back for more for a 3rd bathroom and laundry room. I love the subtle colors in this tile. It has brown, tan, off white, grays, and bits of black making it compatible with many color choices for bath linens and accessories. I bought the bullnose tile pieces to finish instead of baseboard in the bathroom where there is likely to be moisture. It gave a nice, neat look to the finished floor. i can't speak to installation because a handyman installed it for me, but no complaints. July 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tiles not all the same size We selected this tile for our shower walls. All boxes were from the same lot and the colors looked great. When the installers started to put it on the walls, they found some tiles had a variance and was causing issues putting it up. Took the longer than planned to have to go thru each box and measure all the tiles. we had a lor of waste July 30, 2016
