Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MarilynB Powerful, easy to use air nailer!
This Max SuperRoofer nailer is a powerful tool, yet it is lightweight and it is easy to use. Although we are not professionals, we found it easy to operate. We built a ramp for our shed with it to test it out, and I was pleased with the performance and the results. It is made well, and we had no problems at all with it. We will feel confident using this nailer when we replace the roof on the shed and the garage this spring.
It comes with a pair of safety glasses and an allen wrench. You can also purchase optional parts such as a vinyl siding attachment, a sequential trigger kit, or an anti-double fire trigger kit. It would have been nice to have a case to store this tool in!

The package arrived intact with care taken to protect the product. Instructions on the use and care of the gun were plentiful and well written . Nail sizes were right on the box. That's a good thing. Very happy to say, the Super roofer nail gun is SUPER!! Light weight but sturdy with enough heft to balance the gun. After years of handling big nail guns, this Super Roofer, once it's figured out, is a piece of cake. The nails are in coils and very easy to load in the gun. The depth control dial adjustment is easily accessed and doesn't need additional tools to operate. Protective goggles also included. We've never used MAX tools before, We are very impressed with the quality, appearance and user friendliness of this super roofer nail gun. Buy with confidence!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Raven Well made and easy to use
This is a well balanced roofing nailer. Average weight, easy to use, easy to load, shoots clean, not bad on the recoil either. Likes to double shoot if you're not careful especially at the end of a coil of nails. Guide works well and no major problems with jambing. A good quality, durable tool that's holding up well with the work load. I really like this gun.

It was cold out and I still wanted to test this gun, so I decided to re-roof my storage shed with leftover shingles from the house so they would match. The roof was a little less than 2 square’s.(about 180 sq.ft.)
Total time for the prep, roof and cleanup was less than 3 hours, including going in the house to get another cup of hot coffee,
This is a nice roofing nailer, Came well packed in the box so no damage was done to the unit, also included safety goggles and the allen wrench for adjusting. The box also contained any info you need for correct nails and sizes. I promptly cut out the chart so it could be thumbtacked to my shed wall where I will keep the gun. I also like to use my phone and take pics of any info like this for my tools so I always have it with me.
The gun loaded easily, fed well, drove nails like it was designed to and operated flawlessly for the small amount of time it took to re-roof the shed.
The aspect I liked best about the gun was stability, as someone else mentioned it gives you a nice steady platform for pushing yourself to get up making it much easier. Overall it is a well designed and well executed product that feels and looks like it will provide years of service to any DIYer or PRO. Even loaded the gun was well balanced and lighter to use than others I’ve owned and at a fair price for something I think will last a very long time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sdgiant Lightweight, but heavy duty
First thing you'll notice with this roofing nailer is the weight, about 5 pounds. There isn't a huge difference from other nailers (there is actually a bostich which is 4), but it is a very comfortable weight, and well balanced. Especially important after you've dragged it around a roof for a couple hours.
A few features of note:
1. standard 1/4" air intake
- interchangeable with many other air tools (though oddly not the Max Super Framer)
2. depth adjustment on gun
3. quick trap releases opens magazine and nose
4. takes full range of nail sizes (up to 1 3/4")
5. shingle guide in the tail
6. free pair of safety goggles (I appreciate the though)
I thought the depth adjustment was the nicest touch. My framing nailer has a similar adjustment, and it makes life much easier. Even more so if you are on a steep roof 50 feet from your compressor adjustment.
Final note, very nice rubber handle. My old nailer doesn't have much grip left, so it was a pleasant surprise to feel how nice the felt in my hand. Maybe a small thing, but if you don't always wear gloves, it's nice.

This is an overall great roofing nailer, since its in the middle of the pack for what you can spend, this delivers great bang for the buck.
The gun has great balance and its easy to handle. This gun is heavy enough to set the longest nails but not so heavy that your wrist and hands are worn out at the end of the day. I like the configuration of the combination foot shingle exposure guide. Its bigger than most guns so you can use the nailer to push on when you stand up. Some are so small the gun will roll out under your hand. I love the shingle grips that they put on the sides of this gun, they are metal and grip roofing great. This gun stays put when you lay it down even on a 6 - 12 pitch.
I had a few different coils of nails from various manufactures and had no problem running all of them thru the gun. I love that its not picky. I had some high wire nails and those can be a problem but not for this gun.
I have big hands so some trigger locks are a two handed affair, this one is easy for me to get to with just one hand and switch between locked and unlocked without adjusting my grip on the handle.
Every tool needs parts at some point, so I always consider this when I buy new tools. Max parts are easy to get. They have a great website for parts and most parts that may need replacing are available at a very reasonable cost.
The gun only has one downside, the exhaust is not adjustable so if you are up against a wall you may get some blowback of air and debris.
Overall a super nice gun that should last many years for the pro and the advanced DIYer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RednexToyz The best roofing coiler I've used yet!
Simply the best roofing coiler I've used yet!
Packaging: Unit came well packaged & included eye protection. The outside of the packaging was very informative; illustrating key information about nail types, sizes, etc...
Set-up: The nailer is threaded with 1/4" female thread for your choice of air fitting. I installed a swivel, I/M fitting to work with my existing hoses.
Nail Installation/Type: One lever, located on the left side of the nail gun, allows access to the magazine chamber & feed pawl. This SuperRoofer accepts 15° wire-welded, coiled roofing nails ranging in length from 3/4" to 1-3/4"; .120" shank diameter; .413" head diameter; smooth or ring shank type. The inner magazine features a 4-position nail support spool.
Special Features: This nail gun features a driving depth adjustment to allow the user some varying control over the nail without the need to adjust air pressure settings at the tank. This featured worked GREAT while dialing the gun in on rooftop. Another useful feature is the trigger lock mechanism; after a little practice it was an easy one-handed operation. Rubberized grip makes for easy handling & tried as I might, I could not get it to slip or twist on the gun handle.
Shingle Exposure: Yes, it has an ADJUSTABLE shingle exposure gauge. Quite handy.
Trip Mechanics: Hold the trigger in & every time the tip makes contact with the shingle, it shot. The way this gun was setup out of the packaging, I was able to swiftly drop nails into shingles all down the line. The gun is able to me modified using optional kit(s). After nailing an entire roof, I only hand 1 hang-up with the nails & it was the fault of a badly placed/welded nail on the coil.
Conclusion: At just over 5 lbs, this SuperRoofer was a pleasure to work with and performed without flaw for an entire roof job. This is my new go-to coil roofer suitable for a DIY guy, like myself, or roofing professional alike!
