Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Frozen Item is bended not straight
After buying I didn't realize that the aluminum rail was bended at one side. Trying to unbend and straight it out was a pain. Went back to the store and all other same item was as well bended.

This was to purchased to fix a leak in my shed from a prior threshold I installed that had torn. The installation was a breeze. It's been about 1 year since I installed and I'm disappointed to report that the door is leaking again because of the threshold. The rubber has lost alot of it's rigidity and doesn't seem to seal as well as it did initially. I have done some research online and there seem to be some other products that have better reviews, will last longer for the same cost.

Easily adjusted to fit an 8ft. wide garage door. Nicely conforms to an uneven surface. As yet untested by a driving rain but the seal seems tight. Good product.

Mounting metal comes in two pieces. Should be one solid piece. The rubber is not thick enough to fill any slight gap on ground to seal tightly

Awesome product. Very easy to install. I did online order with store pick up same day. it was in good shape, didn't have to cut the metal at all. It fit great with maybe just the slightest overhang.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HandyGal Wish they carried this in the store
The local stores didn't carry this item so I had to order it online and have it shipped to the store - which took 10 days, which seems like an excessive amount of time.
The door bottom was shipped in two 4.5 foot pieces, which meant I had to use a hacksaw to fit it onto my 8 foot wide garage door.
The product is shipped in a large mailing tube with the vinyl insert wrapped lengthwise around the door bottom pieces. The vinyl stretched out of shape a bit at the area folded over the metal and the sharp metal edges of the aluminum dug into the vinyl insert and made a small hole. I didn't notice the hole until I was in the midst of installing and at that point wasn't going to take down the whole shebang to return it given that the hole was fairly small and probably inconsequential.
Other reviews had complained about the self-tapping screws, but I found they worked just fine on my wooden door. I used the screws to pre-drill the holes in the aluminum before installing it overhead just to make it easier for myself. The aluminum pieces were quite sturdy.
If you read the instructions closely, they mention that you can install the vinyl insert by poking it into the slot with a screwdriver which is what I did. Much easier than trying to slide the darn thing 8 feet in the cramped quarters at the sides of the garage door.
Overall it looks much nicer than the rubber stuff that nails onto the door bottom.
