Years ago I bought this product and when a need recently came up for more weather stripping I used up the old roll and bought a new role. While the packaging was slightly different, it was the same MD manufacturer AND the same model number. The first thing I noticed when I started to unroll the new weather strip is that the white backing paper started to fall away. At first I thought it was just the beginning of the roll. Nope, I unrolled a little over 18" and there wasn't any adhesive. NONE. No adhesive on either side of the weather strip. This wouldn't even stick to itself. The only thing I can figure is someone in QA really screwed up. I ended up returning this to the store and bought another roll only instead of the SPONGE type I got the FOAM type. This had adhesive and I was able to complete the task. Time was wasted since there is a bit of a distance to travel to get to the Home Depot. Hopefully one of two things will happen. Other consumers will read this review and avoid this particular model # - or - enough people will return this item to the store so that MD will recall the other rolls and have a heart to heart talk with QA.

This product worked while it stayed adhered to the window sash. That lasted until I opened the window and it fell down.
I prepped the surfaces with alcohol and let them dry. The adhesive on this product is not strong enough to keep it adhered to the bottom of a window sash. I could adhere it to the window jamb, but the amount of water and crud will cause the adhesive to fail.

The product description was unclear and caused me to order more than I will ever need in a lifetime, but the product is good and the peel off is marginal and it sticks most of the time
