Customer Reviews

1.1 cu. ft. U.L. Classified All Steel Fire Safe with Electronic Lock and Interior Light in 2-Tone Brown and Tan is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great safe, great price My wife and I were looking for a fire safe and searched the internet for a quality safe. After reviewing some of the video sites we were shocked to find some safes are made of plastic and can be opened with a saw or pry bar. This safe is steel and is heavy, I would hate to be underneath one if it was dropped out a window like in the movies. The safe arrived, we put the batter in and set the combo... everything worked great, I guess the other reviewer had a bad experience but in our case we had no issue at all. Mesa was responsive to our questions and treated us well. We have a bigger safe on the way to the office and will write a review as soon as it arrives.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good safe, but no keys I am writing a preliminary review to warn others. I just received this safe yesterday. It was delivered to a store. It was in great condition. The operation of the safe so far seems great and it is indeed a very substantial safe. However, I did not receive: keys, power pack, AA batteries. I don't care about the batteries, and could survive without the power pack, but the keys are a must-have. I spoke with Mesa Safe support today and they said this is an older model and they will have to check and see if they still have any keys available for it. This is very disappointing. Why would they still have a model out there in the market place that they no longer have keys for? This is a critical part of making a safe usable, especially when there is a digital keypad involved - because most digital things will fail at some point. What happens in 10 years if I still have this safe and lose the keys? I will update this review when Mesa gets back to me, but wanted to at least warn others of the current situation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The lock didn't work the first day and I was asked by Mesa Safe to tape "pennies" to the inside where the rod hits. The lock was broken when we got it, and Mesa Safe wanted us to put pennies on the inside where the rod hits to trigger the safe to lock.
