Customer Questions & Answers

Does this saw come with the water pump?

Asked by: mike
Yes. A submersible pump is part of the saw and it pumps water onto the blade. Buy or build a plastic tent to keep the overspray of water off the floor. You'll need a table of some kind also. This is a very nice saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well for me cutting glass mosaic tile for my backsplash. We built our own plastic tent... Works very well for me cutting glass mosaic tile for my backsplash. We built our own plastic tent with pvc pipe and clear plastic cover for things like bbq and bicycles. Also used a folding plastic table which was the perfect height. I don't know if HD still sells this saw but I hope so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw I am a tile contractor. I own the MK101 and bought the 660 recently. I used this saw with a union shop back in the 90s. Then it was the little bro to the MK 990 which I dont think is made anymire. I bought this saw because I wanted something small, light weight and accurate. This saw is quiet and the overspray is minimal (I put plastic behind it and it takes care of the back spray). There is a little overflow on the side with larger tiles. I use this saw in the room I am working in most of the time. This saw is NOT built for large format tile. This saw works best with 12x12 or less. It will not cut thicker than 1 1/4, I used this on a stack stone fireplace. The saw had plenty of power to run through the split face slate. I also have used this for tubs, splashes, mosaics etc. This model is built for Home Depot Rental and it is orange instead of the MK Red. It comes with everything in the picture, all the gauges, 25 foot twist lock cord, miter plate and pump. This saw is a savings as MK sells this saw seperately with the straight gauge and pump only as I remember. Freight is free and came in less time than the email mentioned. I reccomend this saw for anyone who works with smaller tiles or as a back up. The MK name is well known in the pro circles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome saw, great price! We own a tile sales and installation business and this saw works awesome. And, it didn't break the bank! This machine is very cost effective , easy to use, and has high quality performance. I am a woman and have used this saw with ease. In fact, I first learned how to cut tile on this saw. It is messy, but you get that with any wet saw. The saw is heavy when you are trying to set it on the stand and it took two to do it safely. I would recommend this product to everyone from beginners to professionals. It's well worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MK Tile saws The old MK's are a lot better than the new ones, this is my third MK-660 I like them for the ease of set up and hauling around plus I can cut large format tiles with them. The first thing is that I use the heck out of my MK saws and eventually I burn up the motors. I would have rebuilt the first two if it wasn't for the high price of a new replacement motor Just shy of $400, second I have kept the stand I got some 20 years ago...hard for it to get damaged so it still works like a champ, third thing I noticed right of the bat was the lack of torque / power this new saw is missing, I am going to get a new blade and see if that is the problem ? I usually cut porcelain tiles and they are very hard and really eat up blades....I will see if a new blade does it ! Anyways you cannot go wrong with a MK Diamond saw...Made in California from out many out sourced parts ....the norm now a days !
