At $80 each these grab bars were rather pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. According to the instructions, you need to attach these to studs, but since they have two vertical rows of mounting holes 6 inches apart, I used both the studs and some toggle bolts. Testing them they seem strong, but they would better be mounted in new construction where you can have extra mounting plates behind the wall.

Needed grab bars for my elder fathers bathroom. I went to the local store and the sales person helped me order these on line. They came quickly, they were easily installed by my contractor and they work like a charm. If I had to do another bathroom I would buy them again. They were also a good value.

This is the most outstanding grab bar I have ever seen. The quality could not be better. The space available was narrow and it took some effort to utilize that space. It was worth it.

Installation of grab bar went well. It is very sturdy. The feature to flip up and hold in place is quite handy. The dual levels on which to hold on make this product very useful.

We needed a handicap bar next to our toilet but there is no wall next to it and very little space to install one. This worked out perfectly.

We just installed this a few days ago. The quality seems high and I would recommend it. We still need the test of time, but I believe that this grab bar will preform well and be a great help to my parents. Install took appx 1/2 hour. We were lucky to hit wood with all 4 bolts. I don't think I would feel as confident with it if the bolts only sunk into wood on one side as others said. Not that you would want to remove the sheet rock to add blocking, but that would probably be the proper way to install, after all safety is the goal. That being said we probably would have tried it with toggles, rather than adding any blocking ourselves. Due to the nature of construction it is likely you would only hit one stud. The thing to keep in mind is that considering the point of the bar is to help with support the area in which you can install is limited. We did a dry run holding it in place for my parents (limited mobility) to find the best height and distance rather than ourselves.
