I am planning on installing the curved shower rod into a space that has a standard vertical wall on the right hand side and the left hand side is approximately 35-45 degree angle and is part of the ceiling.

Answer:
35 degree angle at best. And be prepared to have a couple of people help you pull the base into place and affix to wall. Not the easiest product to work with.

I believe you will need to make an adaptor, probably out of a block of wood.

Note that the escutcheons come in a right and left handed version to account for the curve of the rod. They're not marked so be on the lookout for this! The benefit is that, unlike other brands we saw, there's virtually no gap between the rod and the correctly installed escutcheons. Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Doing the Job. Install was straight forward. Had to cut down to fit space that I had. Is doing the job it was bought for. April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! Just what we needed. Very easy to install, and you don't have to worry about it falling down like the non mounted ones! Comes with everything needed to mount. Just wish they carried it in store! March 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fit and finish A high quality rod for the cost. Easy to install and it looks great. May 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Very easy to install. Great product! Looks great too! February 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Installed easily, looks great, works perfectly. This product really does what the advertisements say it will do. Installation was simple, The rod looks and functions perfectly. Our guest really appreciate the extras space. December 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great shower rod. This curved shower rod is easy to install and of high quality. I've always used a 2 piece rod that extended to each side. Shower curtain always hung up in the middle where the 2 pieces connected. This single rod expands the entire length of the shower allowing the shower curtain to smoothly slide across. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Product, Easy Install Product looks great, easy install (we purchased 2), all parts were included. Only wish is that the endcaps were a little more 'heavy' duty, look & function fine-just don't have the feel of a truly long-lasting part. December 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Larger shower with a quality product Well thought out design and quality construction. Simple installation with all the necessary hardware included for drywall install. One of my mounting holes was over a stud so I did substitute 2 wood screws from my parts jars for 2 drywall anchors. The only confusion came with the mounting bracket escutcheons; there's a left & a right hand version to account for the curve of the shower rod. Naturally I got them reversed at first and had to take down one mounting bracket to fix this. When the escutcheons are installed correctly they snap into place with virtually no gap at the wall or the rod, looks very professional. The manual does not discuss this nor are the parts marked so be on the lookout for this! I like that there's no joint in the curved rod where the curtain hangers can get caught. The rod is not technically adjustable, but the instructions show you how to trim it down for showers narrower than the rated 60 inches. My shower is 59-1/2 inches (a 5 foot tub with dryall boths ends). It fit perfectly without trimming. Note that the curved rod is attached to the mounting brackets with tubes that slide into the rod. For installs over 60 inches short lenghts of the tubes will be exposed. Makes a big difference is roominess of the shower! Looks very sleek and clean. Well worth the effort. December 15, 2015
