Customer Questions & Answers

my space is 58.5 inches. is this adjustable?

Asked by: Anonymous
You will have to cut the rod with a hacksaw, and ensure you keep the angle of the cut the same as the original.

Can this curved rod be used with a stall shower insert (no tub)?

Asked by: Faun
What size is the shower stall? If within the size spec, you can either install above the ceramic/shower walls or drill through whatever material you have as wall. You would want the bottom of the curtain to be close to the shower base. I have had handicapped hotel rooms with no curb, but there is an extra drain outside the shower area to catch any extra water If you have a curb with the shower base, my only concern would be if the shower curtain somehow got outside the curb and water would get in area you didn't intend to get wet.

How do I remove the end caps so I can paint?

No longer have the installation instruction.
Asked by: zankerata
Removing the cover was easy on side and really hard on the other side. You basically have to spin the cover. There is a small dimple on the cover that mates to portion of the base that mounts to the wall. I spun it counter clockwise and it eventually came off. I didn't need to use any tools.

60 in. Stainless Steel Curved Shower Rod Bar in Brushed Nickel is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from smooth rod is nice I bought this model to avoid the "seam" of the adjustable rods, and am glad I did. The challenges of cutting the rod were worth the daily issues of pulling the curtain rings over a seam in the rod. That being said, the installation is a bit challenging especially if you have to make it shorter. It is a sturdy piece of metal that took some effort to cut through even with a brand new blade in the saw. I've had some difficulty getting the cover to fasten over one end of mounting hardware. The low profile allows the shower curtain to hang right against the wall and completely cover the shower unit. The extra space created by the curve i the rod makes the shower area feel significantly larger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to cut using a regular hack saw I hate it when reviewers passing wrong information. Some people say that it was a challenge to cut it to the correct length. So I bought a power metal cutter with a circular blade. I tried it but I didn't like the sparks. I quickly switched to my hack saw with an OLD metal cutting blade. It cut it through like butter under 1 min! Faster than cutting a wooden rod because it is hollow! Nothing like some people complained. They must have used a wood cutting blade. That said, the vendor should offer a size that is 1 cm shorter to avoid cutting by many people. I like the end result. Smooth gliding of the curtain rings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "The" Shower Curtain Rod to Get Just finished installing this shower rod and the fit and finish is amazing! The form and function of a curved rod is so much better than a straight rod. Don't get the adjustable ones, they do not look as clean as this one piece - cutting a one piece to fit your shower is easy peasy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vast improvement. We installed this rod to replace one those tension rods. This rod is so much better! The curve follows the curve of the tub so the curtain hangs in the right place and is more effective. We also replaced the rings with the roller bead ones, so the shower works and looks better. We had to shorten the rod slightly which was not a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Curved Shower Rod! We ordered this shower rod after comparing many online. It was delivered to our local Home Depot for free! We are very pleased with the quality and price, and installation was easy for my husband, who needed to cut a little off the ends. The shower rod is sleek and substantial. The curve adds elbow room and the one-piece construction makes it easy to open and close the shower curtain--far superior to the tension-rod we were using. Great value!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice shower rod, installation was not that easy The verbiage saying that this shower rod is adjustable is not quite correct. It only adjusts an inch. Adjustable to me means that it is in two parts and you can extend, etc. The shower area ended up being less than the 59" to 60" that this rod was designed for, which meant that we had to cut off from both ends of the rod. Required some measuring, using a special blade in the circular saw, and more than two cuts for the other rod (as we did not measure correctly at first). They look great once installed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, Straight Forward There isn't much to this. Measure, cut to length and install. The bar and mounts are sturdy and nicely made. Not much more you could want out of a shower bar. It is much nicer then the 2 piece bars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking functional product Yes, this is more work than installing a two piece rod that relies on friction, but the result is great at a reasonable cost. I had to cut down the ends like others, but it was pretty simple with a dremel and a metal cutting disk.
