Answer:
I don't know the technical terms but the white plastic pieces that you attach the handles to turn. You either have to push them in or pull them out to turn them (I was only watching, my husband was doing the work) so that you can attach adjust the handles

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.1 out of 5 by 61 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for apartments A good value for apartments. Home Depot is the only game in town @ this price point! August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by very poor quality It's tough to find 2 handle tub kits so I thought I would try even though the reviews were poor. In the end very flimsy plastic construction. The display was metal but when opened box everything was flimsy plastic. I'm gong to just throw out but will end up purchasing a different brand for rest of my bathroom remodel I'm so disappointed. July 29, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Moën quality is slipping All chrome is cheap plastic. Hot water valve is backwards turn clockwise for cold and counter clockwise for hot ???? I would return it if it wasn't already installed but I don't want to pay a plumber again July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DON'T EVEN BOTHER! What poor quality this is - plastic with chrome-colored layer! My Contractor said it wasn't worth the money - hard to install and they look awful!!! I'm taking these BACK! June 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Handle Design Handles turn like they should be knobs. Lever handles are supposed to turn both going downward. In other words they should turn opposite directions to be normal for lever handles. Very poor. April 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Plastic I had this installed in a newly remodeled bathroom. It looks chrome, but feels like cheap plastic. It is poor quality and so cheap looking. I am highly disappointed. Do not waste your money! Home Depot should discontinue this poorly made faucet. March 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with the product for the price. The instructions were very easy to follow and the performance is very good. March 1, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not too terrible I'm not an experienced plumber so installing this kit wasn't exactly simple for me. I do have enough sense to read and follow simple instructions so I didn't hesitate to attempt this project. The only problem I ran in to was the paper instructions that came in the box are slightly different than the online instructions. The measurements for how much pipe should protrude from the wall to ensure a proper fit when the downspout is attached is a big deal. I'm lucky I happen to look online and noticed the measurements were different from the paper instructions that were given in the box. As everyone else has mentioned I too was surprised to find out the handles are not only plastic but they are cheap, thin, easily scratchable plastic. But I can't complain too much about that because I should have noticed that in the store. I should have touched the display instead of just looking and assuming they were of higher quality. So I'll accept that. My fault. No big deal. However the quality of the diverter is a completely different story. The diverter is not shown on the box. However it is shown online. It looks normal online, nothing to raise an eyebrow. The only problem is that the diverter shown online is not the same one that actually comes in the box. The one shown online looks nice and sturdy. Nothing unusual. The one in the box is flimsy and (again) very cheap. I actually bent it a few times while installing it even though I was careful. The pipes on it are literally the size of a pencil and are very weak. The online pictures are bigger and stronger. I haven't decided if I want to return this or not. I mean it does technically work and the shiny chrome plastic does look sort of nice right now. I'm just concerned that I may be replacing things on it that break in the not so distant future. If you need a double handle shower/bath for a descent price I would recommend this product. If you are looking for a high quality long lasting Moen then maybe there are other choices that would better suit your need. March 17, 2016
