I bought this set because I could replace by cracked valve yet reuse my original brass colored fittings instead of use the chrome that came with it. Some parts are now plastic and I'm not sure how well they will hold up

Owned less than two years ago and needed 2 repairs, very disappointed that the same part 1222 keeps breaking, causing leakage in the tub and behind the wall resulting in additional expenses to replace and repair damage.

First of all, your product works as expected. For your Quality department: Your product didn`t work initially and I had to dismantle the valve plastic part to find out a few loose rubber parts inside, probably from an "O" ring, blocking the hot water side. Luckily, the "O" rings part of the assembly were all in place. It's not the kind of product we can test before installing.
To your design department: This was a replacement for me, not a new installation, and changing all the plumbing was not an option. In the end, there is a large gap between the faucet handle and the back plate, which does not necessarily look great. Some kind of chromed trim ring would have been nice to close out the gap.

We have used about more than 50 of Moen Tub & Shower Faucets for replacing old style or in the new bathrooms in last 8 years. It is easy to install. We use cpvc pipes & shark bite fittings.

My plumber insisted I get a Moen faucet for my corporate rental unit. I usually buy Glacier Bay and have never had a lick of trouble with them. This Moen has been trouble from the start. You cannot control the amount of water coming out - just turn the lever until you reach the correct temp. It wastes a lot of water. This was installed in the summer, and in the winter people began complaining that the water wasn't hot enough, even if turned to the hottest setting. My plumber tells me that the hardware has to be "adjusted" in the winter to allow more hot water to flow through the faucet (apparently there's some anti-scalding device built it?). I have never heard of any such thing and there is NO WAY I am adjusting the water seasonally. So I just adjust the water at the intake valves.
Oh, also the cartridge went bad and needed to be replaced after about 4 months of what I could only describe as light use (maybe 100 showers).
Moen might be a good product (I have a kitchen faucet that's Moen and not been a problem) but this particular model will give you nothing but problems.
Wish I would have stuck to my guns and bought another brand.

Had to replace the cartridge about four years ago. Was very hard to get the old one out. This time the cartridge was impossible to get out. Went to the hardware and bought the new unit to replace the old . The box said that it was a easy direct replacement, but the old had female connector to the supply and the new had male water connectors. Very hard to replace the unit.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Roloman Too much flow
While there is a flow restriction for the shower head, there is no way to control the flow rate on the tub spout. It is either full on or off. No allowance for low flow rate.
Instruction book doesn't tell you how to do reduce flow rate.
Seems like a real waste of water.
I've used three other sink faucets by Moen, and they all work fine. But I have issues with a shower faucet that only gives you full on or off. Water waster!!
