I talked my wife into buying the Moen Arbor Motionsense after much deliberation and several calls to her friend who owns a Delta touch faucet. Now, she is glad I talked her into it and I have bragging rights for awhile.
Touch vs. Motion debate:
My wife wanted a touch model because she was not fond of the sensor on the faucet base and on the top of the faucet or the blue led that comes on when the sensor is activated. To her, it reminded her of a faucet in a public restroom and she feared functionality would be similar. I wanted touch because the physical look of the touch less model compared to the touch models available at Home Depot or Lowes was much better. I also liked the idea of the water turning on when you placed something under the faucet that requires both hands to hold. When cooking, my wife will often have both hands dirty and having to touch the faucet with dirty hands seemed to defeat the purpose. After a week of use, the touchless functionality works great and my wife and I really enjoy the fact that you don't have to touch the faucet to wash your dirty hands. A great non-advertised fact is the you can easily disable and enable one or both of the sensors by simply turning on the faucet manually and then holding your hand over the sensor for 5 seconds.
This was my first time ever installing a faucet of any kind so I went slow and deliberate throughout the installation. To my surprise, installation was extremely easy and smooth. The most difficult part of the job was removing the old faucet and hardware.
I have never before bought Moen so was unsure of what performance to expect. I have mostly bought Delta or Kohler products. I am pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of this product. It looks, feels, and functions like a quality product which are really the most important features you could ask for a $399 dollar faucet. After doing much research online, the Kohler sensate and other touchless faucets were listed from $600-$900. I am extremely happy with the purchase and with a lifetime warranty feel comfortable that I will get many years of happy use from this product. I was so excited about the new look I added a push button switch for my garbage disposal to one of the no longer needed holes in granite counter top. Boom...instant modernization and improved functionality to my kitchen.

First, there were no issues with the installation everything fit and went together as indicated. I have three issues: 1) Durability - after about a year the faucet started dripping. 2) The motion sensor is a bit erratic. Sometimes you have to move an object around a bit to get it to trigger at other times just placing a knife (or something) in the sink can get you a wet arm / sleeve (not per se the faucts fault; but still annoying). 3) This is a bit subjective, but the battery life seem a bit short for the number of cells in the unit. Just an additional cost to consider.

I wish I didn't buy a motion sensitive faucet. The faucet itself is nice, but it is hypersensitive to motion, so it turns on at times when you don't want it to turn on. Therefore, the person who is putting things in the sink gets wet. Also, it sometimes starts running when no one is around!

The no hands feature is great if your in a hurry or your hands are dirty and you just want to quickly was and carry on with what you were doing. It came quickly, I bought it on Labor Day Monday, and it came Monday the next week.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HDCustomer99 Worst faucet design ever!
We installed this faucet in our kitchen and were flabbergasted by how terrible it was. The Motionsense would turn on the water if you simply walked by the sink. When using the Motionsense, the water pressure was OK but when we used the handle the water pressure was reduced by 1/2. The faucet spout only has a turning radius of about 15 degrees to either side so in order to run water in either side of our sink it was necessary to pull the nozzle out and to the side.
We put up with it for about a month but finally couldn't stand it any longer so returned it for a much less expensive faucet that works many times better!

We have had this faucet for 6 weeks now and I still love it. All of the features work well. We had it professionally installed. Worth the splurge!

i would not buy this faucet again. I think the idea behind it is brilliant-- I hate the amount of times i'm washing my hands with dough or chicken goo on my hands and trying not to touch the handle of the faucet too much. HOWEVER, I can't tell you how many dinners, dry dishes, etc, I've ruined by just BENDING OVER near the faucet and set the thing off only to end up with water everywhere-- and awful if you're wearing long sleeves-- sopped. obviously I need to get used to the touchy-ness of this faucet, but I find it incredibly annoying.
as to the water pressure issue, we have fantastic pressure during "sensor" mode and very little during manual.......

I like the automatic controls, although they take some getting used to. We have a drinking water faucet next to this one, and reaching for that will turn on the Moen faucet if it is pointed to that sink. Should save some water, but the best is that it will turn on and off without touching any handles with dirty hands. Water flow seems less than with regular faucet. Hopefully it outlasts the warranty,
