CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No water pressure Do not understand after we had installed this shower head, bought the proper extension the water pressure is ridiculous!! Takes at least 20 minutes plus to wash and rinse your hair!! So mad we would have to tear out the tile around it to replace, so planning on getting a different head and spending even more money!! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ashville - looks good on the box.........however the ashville kit is a great looking product - "on the box" - however following the install instructions puts the handle anywhere from 1/2" to 1.5" from the trim, mine came out at 1"and looks haphazard. All i can say is do a true mock up of the handle to the wall | tile and not the black piece they provide for install, as it can be a long way from flush!. Looking at various reviews and forums, i am not the only one with this issue with Moen and hope you read this and do not take their instructions as gospel. If like me you have installed them as per the instructions and find the handle sticks out too far from the escutcheon, Moen sell an extension kit (so they know they have a issue!!) - this kit is very expensive for what it is - around $110 (from moen - its the moen 162 escutcheon extension) I have seen it for around $60-$70 but it can help in your situation (over re-roughing the valve). Overall I cannot recommend this product - the valve, yes, looks and feels high quality, as is the handle but the plastic escutcheon, overall fit and fish as well as the particularly poor install instructions really let this product down and hope Moen fix them for the future. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best shower head ever This is the best shower head ever. Not only easy to install, but one of the nicest i have ever used. December 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by broken shower head Installed the head and valve in my new shower in less than a week form the day we started using it the head broke off. Has not been taken back to the store because it was a set and the valve is behind new tile. February 24, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing special At $159 for just the shower kit it is nothing special. The valve is whjat you are paying for so if you like any other type of shower head, don't waste your money, get the least expensive Moen kit and buy the shower head of your choice. May 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Shower valve. Love it. For a homeowner it was a pretty good install. Excited about it! March 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Love the design of the shower head. Nice water pressure. February 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG This faucet looks great. It seems to be high quality. The trim is plastic. Why I say that the installation instructions are wrong is because if you follow them you will have a handle that will stick out an inch or more past the faucet trim plate which looks unprofessional. I recommend this product only if you follow my heed. Before you finish your wall put the faucet together and ensure you position the valve inside of the wall where the handle of the faucet is 1/4 to 1/2 inch past your finished wall (sheetrock, tile, etc.). DO NOT use the "plaster ground" provided with the faucet to determine the depth of the valve or at least double check the depth. I hope this makes sense. Just be careful and triple check your valve depth BEFORE you finish your wall. Moen's installation instructions are very rudimentary and are not trustworthy. FYI, I did not install this myself, I had a seasoned professional install this faucet and he followed the instructions meticulously. I still had it come out looking incorrect. I am not happy with the installation. I didn't find out until after my tile was done. May 8, 2014
