You get what is on the picture of the package (look closely to make sure you get the tub spout, or just the shower stall without the tub spout).
The only thing that does not come with your shower trim is the rough in plumbing (copper and brass fittings).

Yes and no. How you attach the faucet to your water lines may require plumbing parts not supplied. You also need teflon tape for the shower head threads. I always buy the product, read the directions and look at the one that is being replaced before I do any tear out. Figure out if you need couplers prior to removal! Take a photo to the hardware store if possible.

My shower handle turns on by pulling out the knob. I understand you have to change the existing turn on fixture if it isn't a pull out system. Do you have a brush nickel shower turn on handle that you pull to start?

Hello Cindy and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The MOEN Banbury 1-Handle Shower Faucet in Spot Resist Brushed Nickel has a handle that only rotates to turn on the water and adjust temperature.
If your current Moen tub/shower product has a handle that pulls out to turn on the water you now need to determine the position of the screw holes through the round plate behind the handle. If the screw holes are in the 5:00 and 7:00 positions you will need a standard valve adapter, part number 145058 to install a new Moentrol trim kit. If the screw holes are at 2:00 and 7:00 you can use any Moentrol trim kit on the rough-in valve.
Please see the pictures included with this post for Moentrol brushed nickel trim options.

Answer:
Many shower products are chromed plastic. It is just as durable as the costly brass fixtures. The advantage of plastic is a lighter, more cost effective product and it should be more resistant to hard water.
I have installed expensive chromed brass fixtures and plastic chrome fixtures in the same house. You would not be able to tell the difference unless I told you.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moen Shower Facucets Great product and easy to install. Replaced existing Moen shower faucets when remodeling bathroom...Previous Moen shower faucet was in place at least 15 years and still working Great...Just replaced since we redid the tile shower and floors August 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable product Do not care for the plated plastic products but overall seems to be of reasonable quality like all Moen products. Also do not like the way the shower head continues to drip for quite a while after shutting off the valve (not sure if this is something that can be corrected). August 13, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mgadohc My only issue with this nozzle is that you can't adjust the water rate. Many times I would like less water and there is no way to adjust it. Next time I would get the assemble with adjustments. However, since it is inside the wall I am stuck with it now. July 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loving our new shower!! We remodeled our bathroom at home and chose this for the shower. We love the style but more than that it is a very nice shower flow. The handle is beautiful, compact and easy to use. It was easy to install and good quality. We liked it so much we decided to use the same one for the master bathroom at our condo. I would highly recommend. August 23, 2016
