Faucet "pulses" at lower flow? What causes this? (Moen Model #CA87527)

I installed this faucet per the instructions. Turned on the water at the angle stops, allowed all of the air to leave the system and started using the faucet. Prior to purging the the sprayer, the water "pulsed" at all levels of volume, low thru high. After I purged the sprayer, it continues to pulse at very low flow/volume. I know that the air has left the system, however I would like some direction on how to correct this.

This may be caused by insufficient water pressure against the valve that locks out the water going to the faucet (while the sprayer is being used). To 'lock' the switch over valve, try initially having the water on full blast and then gradually reducing it.

Can a faucet (such as this one) with "side-sprayer" be installed where a previous faucet had no sprayer?

The current Price-Pfister faucet we have in our kitchen has no side-sprayer and the escutcheon has no "hole" for a side-sprayer and we certainly don't have a separate sprayer with its own escutcheon . . . so, without taking the old faucet assembly off the sink, I even wonder if our sink has a hole for ANY side-sprayer (possibly hidden by the current escutcheon). Do most sinks / counters come with pre-drilled / pre-cut holes for a side-sprayer such as this model? Seems like for most faucets the sink / counter has a separate hole for a separate side-sprayer, not one that sits in the same escutcheon like this model . . . PLEASE HELP, I need advice on what to do if there is no hole for the side-sprayer! I think we'd like to have a side-sprayer and it might help when we get ready to sell and move on . . . thoughts? Are most new installs / kitchen "re-dos" with or without side-sprayer?

I have a Moen Kitchen faucet, and when I move the spout, it leaks. Now It leaks all the time the water is on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I replaced a Kohler pull out. That was the worst to remove. It took me 3 hours. I almost gave up. But was able to somehow uninstall it. Once removed I replaced it with this moen unit. It was so simple to install. It took me day 15-20 minutes to install. Looks great and so far I am happy with my purchase. If I go to replace it I think it will be a breeze to uninstall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect replacement kitchen faucet assembly The Moen kitchen faucet assembly fit perfectly as a replacement for a leaking unit. It looks good and operates smoothly. Moen's reputation for reliability is one factor considered during the purchase decision. The faucet was installed by a plumber since additional kitchen sink work was required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me Easy to install. Works as expected. Appears well built. Sprayer hose is a little stiff and wants to stay coiled. A little use with hot water and it should straighten itself out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This faucet needs to be redesigned I just installed a replacement faucet. I did not realize until I got it home that it was the same model that just failed after 2-3 years. If this one fails I will never buy another Moen product. The problem with the faucet is the two screws that secure the spout are inadequate. One of them on the original faucet kept coming loose. I eventually bought a different screw and lock washer to replace it. A few months later the metal on the base plate the screw was secured to failed. This faucet needs to be completely redesigned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product is Great This product fit my need very well. I needed a sprayer with the kitchen faucet and this all-in-one product fits nicely on my sink without having to drill any extra holes. I would recommend this product for anyone wanting to have a faucet with all these features. Knowing that Moen stands behind their products is very helpful in purchasing Moen products. I appreciate the ease of use and the sprayer is right there at your fingertips. Thanks for the great products that you put out for everyone to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected! I have always liked the "MOEN" family of plumbing products. But, I had watched this video install of this faucet on You-Tube, but when I got mine home and open, it was nothing like it showed in the video. The water supply lines were already on it, and not long enough to reach my shut-offs. Plus, I had a 1/2" braided hose ready to go, but this faucet has a 5/8" fittings. I feel it is kind of a cheap out-fit, and not real happy with it for the money!

However, I would have preferred a more solid attachment system. There are two attachment points. One is a large, solid hard plastic nut like you usually find on these things. It serves the dual purpose of holding the unit down on one side and securing the on-deck spray attachment. The other attachment point could have easily been similar but instead it was a much smaller screw and nut that mounted through a small bracket to keep it secure through the much larger mounting hole. It was tricky to get in place and unlike the larger attachment allowed the faucet base to move on the sink's mounting post. This required me to get up several times to realign the unit as I tightened the nut onto the bracket. Another set of hands would have solved the problem but that's not always an option. Otherwise, the faucet works as advertised.
