is the pull down - metal or plastic?

Asked by: Anonymous
plastic. but nice I think metal would cause more of an issue with nozzle staying seated in housing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning I bought this based off of looks and it didn't disappoint. Install was a breeze and it's worked just like it should since day one. Great price for a good brand too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaks Beautiful, but leaks. Leaks all over while you use it, and leaks while its off. Flooded our cabinet underneath. I see other reviews that say the same. Need to figure out how to fix it but hard to tell how.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LEAKS INTERNALLY. CONTRACTOR INDICATES IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED We notice a leak around the handle. Then we noticed water under the cabinet. after a lot of looking we noticed tne water was coming from the area where the pipes all connect. We had the product removed and examined and found the leak was where we could not repair it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice short reach faucet We have used Moen for years and been happy. However, my new single sink was not cooperating with the reach of the old faucet. The old faucet came out so far it splashed my side of the sink. I wanted something that didn't splash, and was more centered over the drain. I also wanted a handle that I could turn off with wet hands so as not to drip on the shiny chrome and cause water spots everywhere. I also prefer a smaller fixture that doesn't block my window view. The Brantford Bar Faucet satisfied those desires. I've never had a high arc before, but like the possibility of rotating the on/off handle to the front. The only improvement I am considering, is buying the spray head from the full size faucet (Around $30) to get additional features... I borrowed one in a different finish just to see if it works... It does work with its stay on spray feature, as well as pause feature, which the bar model does not have. (Bar model requires you hold the spray button while in use) The only down side to the full size spray is it looks HUGE. It does dock very well as it is plastic and lighter weight than the metal spray head that is standard on the bar faucet. Maybe in the future I will change the spray head if Moen offers a smaller version. For now I'm very happy as it is. :-) The photos are cropped by Home Depot and may not show my original intent. The first photo shows the oversized spray wand from the full-size Brantford faucet, not the one that comes with the bar faucet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pleased! I purchased both this bar/prep faucet for my island prep sink as well as the slightly larger model for my regular kitchen sink. This faucet has the traditional look that I was looking for. I like that the pull down nozzle is made of metal because the larger version is made of chromed plastic. Also, this faucet requires you to hold the button for the spray feature, where the larger one can stay on spray. I also had to buy adapters for my valves under the sink. The attached hoses on both faucets are 3/8" but my valves were 1/2". Check this out before you install and buy the correct adapters at HD. I was able to install both faucets myself without the need of a plumber.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work for me. Not wide enough, water splashes to the counter at each use. The water flow is very weak. I had to ask the contractor to deinstall and help me to find a new one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from overrated and overpriced After only 3 months of useage, the spray jets are amuck and splatter everywhere. In addition, the hot/cold settings are difficult to differentiate. The fixture looks nice but the quality certainly does not justify the high cost and difficulty of installation.
