This spout does not empty water by itself as it is supposed to.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TackM Shows water spots and doesn't match other Moen brushed nickel items
We needed a slip fit tub spout and unfortunately all of the shower sets we liked only come with threaded diverters. Essentially we had to eat the cost of another $50+ to get a slip fit separately. The brushed nickel finish has a different hue than the other Moen brushed nickel items we just installed. It also shows water spots. We're going to have to use this as a temporary solution until we can get a plumber in to configure a threaded solution for us.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by sincjb The inside parts are all different
Went to replace faucet today and found that the inside parts are all different than my older one. It will not fit and I need to return it. I guess they don't make the same modle anymore.

I have always used Moen products for the quality, but this one is very poor. i needed a brushed nicklel slip fit tub diverter spout and this was the only Moen one i could find. First of all the slip fit design is different than all of the other Moen spouts that i have used. It is basically the same product as a generic version that is less than half the price. You have to be careful when installing because it will leak if you don't secure it just right and it can rip a hole in your copper pipe.

Installation was simple enough, some minor soldering and then it's a slide-on installation and tighten a retaining screw. You need a 1/2" copper stub about 1-1/2" long. It looks good! We needed to replace ours since it just stopped blocking the flow. The one we had was made of plastic (it wasn't a cheap set either). This one is metal and seems less likely to fail.
