If you have a moen tub or shower valve and you want to update the trim to nickel then this is what you want. Don't waste your time with the ones off the shelf in store. They are plastic and require cutting opening in tile larger. This one is metal and worth the extra money.

Love the way this looks and works. Challenge was instrallation. Moen trim kits (what you see in the shower) only align with Moen valves (anchored built inside the wall) Know the type of valve you have before you buy the trim kit. We took out a 20 yr old Moen trim kit and it still required a custom make plate adapter and cutting off some length on an internal piece to make it all fit & work. Changing out the valve would have required ripping out a big section the ceramic tile shower wall or going in thru the sheet rock on the room on the other side of the wall. Your Valve in the wall controls your brand of trim choices. Use a PRO if replacing old fixtures and new "same brand" parts don't instantly fit. Love this looks and works now that it is in - but what a challenge to get there.

We installed the Moen T2131 BN about nine months ago. The water just shut off and no longer works. I talked with our plumber and he said the 1222 cartridge is likely shot already...after nine months?

Has sleek features; not too big. Valve was required for installation.

This valve doesn't allow water to go above 100 degrees. It is expensive, and no where in product description does it tell this limiting feature. The gave is nice, durable, but this limiting factor is not good if you like hot water.
I would not recommend their service either.
