I have this towel ring currently, but the tiny screw underneath that holds the ring in place has fallen out at some point. Now the ring ends up on the ground more than it stays in place. Can I buy a replacement screw?

How do I keep the base from rotating?

I'm trying to attach the Eva towel ring into the wood side of a cabinet. The black plastic mounting post has a single centered screw to attach it (it comes with a wall anchor which won't work in the cabinet); when I attach it with a bolt and nut, the entire base rotates when I hang a towel on the ring, or put any pressure on it at all. It won't take long for the bolt to unscrew itself from the nut.

There are two additional holes in the post but they are smaller than the 8/32 bolt size of the center hole, and it looks like a bolt head would interfere with the attachment of the towel ring.

How can I attach the base so it's solid to the cabinet and won't rotate?

Hello JohnTheWysard,
Per the manufactures instructions; If you are mounting any parts into a hard surface snap off the anti-rotation fins on the
back of the mounting post.
If you've already done that and the nut is still coming unscrewed than I would use some Locktite on the bolt and then tighten the nut onto it. This will keep it from coming unscrewed.

It works really well and you're still able to take the nut off if you need to at a later date.

Eva Towel Ring in Oil Rubbed Bronze is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Avoid fixtures with the Pro Fit mounting system (like this one) When my house was built 6 years ago, we chose this style of fixture to use throughout the house because we like the look (and still do), however we noticed most of the fixtures were relatively loose on the wall, so we tightened them. Fast forward 6 years an they are all ripping out of the walls. This fixture uses the Moen Pro Fit mounting system, which is faster to install (only one screw), but is susceptible to failure if over-tightened... and when not over-tightened it seems loose. In my case, the tree-pronged anchor that is supposed to tighten against the back of the drywall ended up puncturing the paper cover of the back of the drywall. over time, the prongs dug into the drywall, causing further loosening. Now at 6 years I have had 3 of them rip out of the wall, leaving egg-sized holes that I need to patch, which will likely prevent me from remounting a replacement bar in the same spot (unless I replace the Sheetrock). I will be replacing all of these with a traditional mounting system. Most retail sites don't list whether the product uses the Pro Fit mounting system or a more traditional mounting system, but you can find that information at moen.com. I suggest looking there first before purchasing any Moen fixtures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the non traditional and easy to use The tp holder looks great, easy to load and reload. I like it better than the traditional kind of tp holder. Have used it for over a month now and have had no problems with it, of course there is not much to it. It comes with a heavy duty molly bolt so there is no way I see this ever coming off the wall without human help. It seemed like a high price for it until I received it and realized how well it is made. It's heavy duty all the way, no way are you going to bend this with your hands but why would anyone try. Great for us older folks, you are not struggling with the spring loaded kind anymore. Off and On is all there is to it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does it ring true? The external appearance is typical Moen high quality and, of course, it matches my other Moen Eva bath fixtures. I did have a problem with the expanding bolt that came with ring--I'm not sure it was the original and whether the ring had been returned and repackaged. The expanding bolt would not expand and lock to the drywall. I had to replace it with a screw and expanding plastic anchor. So, it's a great product but check whether the expanding bolt slips when you try to tighten it and won't expand and replace it if it slips. Other reviewers have noted this problem.

It was a perfect match to the existing towel ring in our new home. Instructions are a little brief, but installation was easy. Recommend you upgrade the drywall anchor since the one provided is not very sturdy.
