I purchased the Extensa in 2001 and 15 years later was glad I could replace the faucet with the same thing. Well, it wasn't the same quality. The sprayer is plastic, the faucet will not turn all the way left or right and the water is so slow I could knit a sweater while a pot is filling.
I'm very disappointed with the flimsy quality of the Moen faucet. I paid $346.00 plus the cost to have a plumber install it. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.

A couple people told me that manufacturers make versions specially for the big stores. They said the ones companies sell to plumbing supply companies are different i.e. better. I passed that off as one of those urban legend things but now I am not so sure. I bought two of these from Home Depot. They both leaked like crazy immediately after installing them. After spending a lot of time on the phone with Moen, they sent me another one. That one worked like a charm. My previous faucet was a Moen so I know how they go together. The two from Home Depot were both leaking at the mixing chamber inside the main housing. I was able to return one but the other I had thrown away all the packaging thinking what could possibly go wrong? Because neither of the two I bought from HD worked I don't see how I can give anything other than a one.

Given that this is a very expensive faucet I was truly disappointed. I bought one from HD. It leaked like a sieve...not a slow leak. I bought a second. Same problem.
So I got on the phone with Moen and they sent me #3. That one worked.
They appear to be leaking from the internal plastic valve assembly. I believe it's leaking from the hand sprayer hose where it connects to an internal mixing tank. It's not something that can be taken apart and fixed.
I sense is it's a manufacturing defect. The fact that they switched to a cheaper from the old copper feed lines may have something to do with it.
There's also less pressure from the faucet...probably due to a flow restricter in the line.

The faucet is nice looking and was easy to install. It works well. No problems since installed three weeks ago. I did not like that the handle part that you pull out to use the sprayer is plastic. Really? Why? This faucet cost a lot and I did not feel as though the cost fit the product. I purchased a Moen to replace a Moen. For the price I think I could have gotten a better deal and just as good a faucet with another brand. With all that said I recommend it because it works and it looks good. Time will tell how good.

The faucet has a flow restrictor that makes the pressure terrible. How I long for the old days!

It was a breeze to install this faucet in our kitchen. The instructions are pictures so it is easy to follow and they provide a version of a basin wrench to help you tighten the nut by the base. The faucet works well although we do notice a decrease in water pressure from the old faucet that broke. All in all, we are satisfied. The hardest part is removing the old faucet! Especially with hard water! Faucet looks great and we love how smooth it is to move from sink to sink!

All of these Moen's pull out's have a cartridge inside that goes bad. (Read independent reviews) They start leaking and run down the stem into your cabinet. You will never even know the thing is leaking until you see a puddle underneath. Mine is 7 years old. 3 years ago this happened so I figured it was a defective part and replaced the cartridge. Last night, water was running out onto my hardwood floors. Upon inspection underneath, I found out it had been leaking for some time. The bottom of my cabinet underneath my sink is now ruined. We are going to check the sub-floor under that area as well.
I hear that Moen has a great warranty. I've now figured out they need one since they make bad fixtures. We paid a lot of money for this product in stainless from Home Depot. I'm not repairing it again. I'm replacing it with a different brand.
