Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 103 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The works wonderfully!! I had ankle surgery and wanted to have ASSISTANCE getting in and out of the bathtub SAFELY!!! These handles work great. They are very sturdy even for a fairly heavy person and were VERY easy to install. Love these and would recommend them to anyone. April 25, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK in compairison to the one I have First I have to say this does what it says, It is a good grab bar. I gave it a 4 because It lacks a rubber grip that my other one has. I already have one MHI Grab bar, but after surgery my husband needed a second one. One to help him enter and the second to hold onto once in the shower. I could not find another MHI one near my home, so I decided to get a Moen one. The Moen one has just as good of suction and I really have nothing bad to say about it. It works, but the MHI has a better grip and feel because of the thick rubber grippers on the back side of the handle. The MHI is also more attractive to me but that is just a matter of taste. Also the Moen one is unnecessarily bulker but provides the same amount of grip space and suction power. Honestly the Moen one will probably look better in the long run (ie years) as the rubber grippers on the back side of the MHI will likely accumulate water build up. Also the white color of the Moen one matches with the prefab shower stalls better. But I only needed something temporary while my husband recovers from surgery so my main goal is functionality not looks, so at the same price I prefer MHI with its better grip. February 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does what it says it won't do. Bought two of these for my shower as my wife cannot get up off the shower chair without help. Package says for helping with balance only, not for full weight. So far the wife has pulled herself up with the help of these. They are great. The shower housing is fiberglass and suction works well. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Post Operative Peace of Mind This bath grip added peace of mind and additional safety for my wife as she returned home from knee replacement. We were amazed at the sturdy construction and ease of attachment to our shower. Constant exposure to water has not affected the suction of the product. Wide, solid grip handle offers comfort upon exit from the shower. This unit is definitely built to last. March 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow What A Bar I bought this bar for my 71 year young mother, who just had a hip replacement. I had my 14 year old test with all her 110 lb weight she almost pull the tile off the wall because the suction was so great. Home Health Care came out to assist mother and wanted to see where she shower, he was so impressed ask mother where I purchased and what was the name, of course she didn't know but I told her for the next therapy visit so he could recommend to other. buy buy buy One note make sure the shower tile is very clean, use 1/2 cup vinegar and /1/2 cup dawn mixed together spray on let set for 30 min then clean my what a difference! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome! I have to say the suction on these pads is incredible. I have this on my bathroom wall now for 2 months and the suction is still going strong. I have it adhered to 4.25 in square tiles. The suction pads are about ½ in too close to each other for a perfect center to center tile installation but, this has not created any problem whatsoever. So each pad is just barely right up to the grout line. Excellent product, and for $15 an incredible value. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Forget the rest--buy this one! My mother needed assistive devices throughout her house, as she had fallen and was using a walker. She was adamant that she did not want grab bars drilled in to the tile of her shower. I bought the Glacier Bay grab bars first and within days, they were loose. I had cleaned the tile carefully by scrapping the tile with a razor blade and then wiping with isopropyl alcohol, so I knew the surface was very clean. I re-affixed the Glacier Bay grab bars again and again and then gave up, returned them and bought the Moen grab bars instead (which were the same price by the way). Now 6 weeks later, they are so strongly adhering to the tile that I can sit on the flower of the shower and pull myself up using the grab bars and they don't budge! August 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good, but read the instructions. I installed this in our shower to assist when getting in and out. It grips very tightly and stays stuck. The instructions say it's designed for 4x4 inch tile. My shower is 6x8 inch and the handle works fine. But the guest bath has 3x3" tile and the handle wouldn't stick because one of the suction cups was always on a grout line. The instructions also say not apply weight to the handle, just use it for balance. What they don't mention, but I've seen happen with other similar aids, is you can pull the tile right off the wall if you apply too much pressure. It's longer than I expected, with a full 5" of grip area making it easy to grab and the grip is contoured for individual finger so it's comfortable to hold. January 25, 2013
