I love this product, especially the handles and the wide seat.

I am not handy, so the installation was tricky for me. I am sure that any reasonably capable woman could handle the two bolts you need to keep the seat in place with no trouble. I took my time and rested frequently, since the bent-over position I had to assume did make my back ache, and in the end I was very proud of myself for being able to install the nice, new, clean elevated toilet seat my husband needed.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by EhrDesign Elevated seat not compatible with many common toil
The design of this elevated toilet seat (Moen DN80700 is simple and effective. Whether aging and in need of a boost, or recovering from hip or knee replacements, the design and handle placement do the job. However, you can anticipate some installation problems. The product literature and feature list suggests: 1) that this product is compatible with most common toilet seats, and 2) that your normal toilet seat can be placed in the normal down position when the elevated seat is removed. Unfortunately that is not the case. Although I eventually was able to lay our normal seat in the down position when the elevated seat was removed, it required quite a bit of handy man problem solving to do that. Most troubling though - at a large chain store that sells this product, I could not find a single toilet seat that worked as suggested by the product literature! If I can find a better designed product, I will try to return this one.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daughter-in-law Great for elderly guest
My elderly mother-in-law was coming to stay with us for a while and this is a fabulous product. It was easy to install and easy to remove when she leaves. To bracket remains in place, so the next time she comes to stay, all I have to do is lift the seat and slid the elevated seat back in place. Great design!
