Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, But Doesn't work for Center Drain Sink My husband and I loved the simple yet elegant design of this faucet and the high arc. We were disapointed however that this particular faucet style does not seem to work well for center drain sinks like ours. Our plumber struggled for 1/2 an hour trying to get the pop-up drain assembly to work. It would either not close fully and allow water to drain out of the basin when you don't want it to, or it would not pop open very far, making the sink drain very slowly. This particular faucet has a strange lift rod design. The lift rod to the pop-up drain assembly is in this groove/channel in the back of the faucet, and it will only allow you to pull up the lift rod about 2 inches before you hit the top of this channel and are forced to stop pulling up, even if the drain plug hasn't closed yet. Normally on other faucets, you can keep pulling up until the drain plug closes and forces you to stop. This lift rod groove design greatly limited the plumber's ability to adjust the pop-up drain assembly so that it would open and close properly. Due to our center drain sink, we need to be able to pull up the lift rod a little further to compensate for the increased distance between the sink drain and the faucet. When the plumber called Moen for technical support, they stated this is their only faucet with this particular lift rod design. It is too bad, since it is a lovely faucet. It may work fine for standard sinks with the drain near the back of the sink. August 8, 2013
