Does is swivel?

Just needing a faucet that I can move from right to left for my double sink.
Asked by: Aleshia
The spout does swivel. Be careful not to try to swivel the handle base as that may loosen the base and you would need to get under the sink to retighten. I installed mine myself and had to do that to reposition the handle. But, I have been swiveling the spout around often and it works fine. I've had it about 1 month now.

Can the faucet be installed without installing the soap dispenser?

Asked by: Alice
yes, it is entirely independent of the faucet. I did not put ours in because we needed the sink hole to vent the dishwasher drain.

Once it is retracted does it automatically reset to "flow" mode or does it stay in "spray" mode?

Our current one stays in "spray" mode until you manually change it and my husband hates it when I leave it in "spray" mode and he turns on the faucet next!!!
Asked by: Alli
It returns to flow mode when the water is turned off.

Hose sprung a leak 1 inch up from the nozzle attachment point after 3 years. I don't want to have to replace the entire faucet but I also don't want to have to buy a new hose and install it every 3 years either.

But I am amazed at all of the negative reviews regarding the water pressure/flow rate. This is a water saver faucet that clearly lists in the specs it is rated at 1.5 gal per min. Its not hidden that this faucet is environmentally friendly. That's part of the reason I picked it. There are plenty of 1.8, 2.2 and 2.5 gal per min faucets on the market if that's what you need. Other criticisms I read regarded the valve fitting size. Again, the 3/8 inch connection for this faucet is listed right in the specs on this site. I am in a newer home with 3/8 inch valve stems. If you are in a home with 1/2 inch valve stems, you can go with the Moen Kaden model, or get 3/8 to 1/2 valve adapters. Finally, I saw negative remarks regarding the pull out hose or faucet head having issues after a few years. This is normal wear and tear. But Moen guarantees these parts, and will replace them. A hose replacement is not a need for a whole new faucet. With their 'duralock quick connect', you simply snap out the old hose and replace it with a new one in less than 5 minutes, like the time it took when the faucet was originally installed. . I don't work for Moen or endorse them. But I also don't think these are valid reasons to give this faucet a low rating. These are issues with researching before purchase, or with normal wear and tear. Prior to me installing this faucet today, mynew house came with an expensive Wolverine Brass faucet that can only be purchased and installed by professional plumbers. But even on that one, the hose failed and the head separated after 3 years.

AZ with moderately hard water. Just hard enough so that its a good idea to descale the calcium buildup every few years. The wand developed a drip separate from the main flow. However, the wand is made from such cheap plastic that it is impossible to open it up for descaling/cleaning. It subsequently developed a high pressure leak at the ball joint where the wand is attached to the hose. The ball joint looks like a significant design flaw. Would they have sent me new parts? I ididn't even ask because the product was requiring far to much maintenance. I replaced it with a Delta faucet that doesn't have a ball joint connection.

We needed a faucet with a small footprint as the width of my sink was only 23 inches wide and we needed room for the dishwasher aerator, button for the garbage disposal and a water filter dispenser while keeping a clean look. This fit the bill as the faucet could be installed without the base plate. Water flow is good in both the regular and spray functions. We opted not to use the soap dispenser. but it looked of good quality. The style is minimal and clean - good for a modern kitchen.

We've had this installed in our renovated kitchen for a month and we love it. Works well and looks fantastic mounted directly on the granite with no base plate. We skipped the soap dispenser since they had proved to be a mess in our previous installation but the faucet is as nice as our old, much more expensive Grohe. Now we will see if it lasts! The finish has a slight golden sheen too it but coordinates nicely with our stainless sink and doesn't show waterspots or handprints like our stainless faucets do! Highly recommend this faucet.

The finish is great, the spot resistance works well. I was a little concerned about the flow rate when reading the specs. However, it fills pots quickly, and the sprayer has more than enough power. If it were anymore powerful it would just make a mess. I love the handle operation that you can turn the water off at a given temperature setting, and turn it back on in the same position. Many faucets default to the middle position when you turn it off.

The handle was loose, so Moen sent me a new handle. I had that replaced by a plumber, and it STILL came loose after a few weeks. While I frequently tighten the screw with an Allen wrench, it still comes loose after a day or two. Apparently, this is a common problem on this faucet. Moen has a great warranty and stands behind their product, but it doesn't help someone like me who knows nothing about plumbing or hardware and doesn't like to take risks. There haven't been any leaks or plumbing issues, the finish holds up well, and the water flow seems fine to me, so I suppose this is more an issue with the nuts, bolts, or parts inside the main faucet. I'm in the market now for something with better internal components. Ease and comfort of use are my top priorities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good We were initially drawn to its modern style when we purchased it. We have been using it for the past few weeks and have no comaints. The pull out wond works great, and goes back into its cradle easily and snugly. The switch to delineate between the water flow or spray seems to function quite well.
