How is the soap dispenser with this faucet filled? from the top or underneath the sink?

Asked by: Anonymous
Pull the pump straight up and refill from the top. It holds about 8oz so you may need to have a flashlight to look down the hole. Not that bad though.

Does the base plate need to be used or can it be omitted ?

Asked by: Anonymous
Base plate is optional. We just installed this faucet with single hole countertop and did not use base. It looks better without it!

Customer Reviews

Lindley Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Reflex and Soap Dispenser in Spot Resist Stainless is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 190.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Handle will not stay tightened! We purchased this about two years ago. Give or take six months later we noticed that the handle was becoming more and more loose every day. We also noticed that there was at times a great amount of water under our sink that no amount of research could figure out where it was coming from. Eventually we figured out how to tighten the handle-via a tiny hole located on the backside of the handle (facing the wall, how convenient, NOT!) using an Allen wrench. It is very difficult to insert the Allen wrench in the correct way to tighten, but after you finally do it, the handle does tighten. The problem is, it once again becomes loose not long afterwards. The space of time between tight and loose is growing shorter as well. Needless to say this is ridiculous and certainly does not fit with Moen's "Buy it for Life" slogan. Aside from removing it and installing another at considerable cost and aggravation I have no idea how to resolve this. It looks great. The features are wonderful, but if the darn thing doesn't work well, who cares?! PS Guess what the source of the leak was?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice faucet, watch out for the eco penalty I installed this faucet and it went in very easily. High quality, attractive and it doesn't leak. However, as other reviewers have noted, the water flow rate is restricted which makes it nearly unusable. If you call MOEN they will send you a new part for free including shipping which allows a higher flow rate. BUT, don't even bother, just take the flow restrictor and o-ring out of the sprayer and don't replace it. When you screw it back together it will not leak. I don't know how good the result is compared to a faucet with no flow restriction because my building has low water pressure; if that little plastic part is the only flow restriction then you will enjoy a nice faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handle position is variable The main reason I bought this faucet is because the handle does not have to be installed on the right. I had ours on the left but changed it to the front as I found when doing dishes, a lot of water pooled behind the sink with all of the turning on and off of the faucet when rinsing. The weight can be placed at a specific position on the hose so it doesn't get caught constantly like the last one did because the weight hung loosely at the bottom of the hose. The end of the faucet does not always go completely back in and needs a little help at times, but that hasn't been too hard to get used to. Another nice feature is that if the faucet is set to sprayer and turned off, it will restart in stream mode. The height is great for large pots and pans, and the whole sink can be rinsed without having to pull the sprayer out very far. Love this faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet I just installed this faucet today and it's awesome! Having just read through the instructions today, I can tell you the folks who gave this faucet less than five stars didn't follow the instructions. The faucet head won't clog if you run water through the faucet to clear out any debris before installing the head, and if the retraction and seating of the head isn't working properly, the weight is installed incorrectly. I was EXTREMELY nervous about installing this type of faucet, but after the install, I think we found a heck of a great faucet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ATTRACTIVE & AFFORDABLE UPGRADE! The plumber just left and I'm sitting here admiring my two faucets! I bought them in the spot resistant finish and after having read a number of reviews, it sounds like they'll do just fine. I have had this same faucet in the Mediterranean finish at our cabin for two years and I love it. I'm glad I read the reviews because it explains why that sprayer doesn't always go back in; I'll check it out next time we're up north! I had the two new faucets installed with the handles in front, again because a previous reviewer said it helped keep water from puddling behind her sink. What a great suggestion! I have stainless Elkay sinks and the finish looks very attractive, as though everything was installed at the same time. I'm looking forward to enjoying my "new" kitchen! Thank you, Moen. My plumber swears by your company and so do I. And thank you to the reviewers who help others!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Faucet! After reading many reviews and going to Home Depot to try out all of the pull down faucets I fell in love with this model. It looks and feels great when you use it and is very well made. I did notice a decrease in water pressure but it wasn't a big deal for us. We've had the faucet installed for several weeks and I couldn't be happier. I love doing the dishes now! I also love that it doesn't show fingerprints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice design! I must say, I was not looking forward to replacing a faucet, but Moen made it fairly painless with this one. From the sleek packaging, which included all the items necessary no matter what sink configuration you have, to the flexible connection lines with compression fittings, this replacement took all but 20 minutes! The one handed combination faucet was also new to me and I am finding it much easier to use than the old separate hot-cold valves. As a note, we were warned of the possible low water pressure from this faucet, but I can't say I really notice any change. Overall, I recommend this product. the design is simple and attractive. The finish on all of the parts was well refined and felt substantial and made with quality. In the end, I found it surprising how replacing one thing can make your old kitchen look and feel brand new!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product - be ready for installation The product itself looks great in the kitchen. The style and functions are good. The installation pieces are all there and there is only one gotcha. The brass shaft which houses the pull-down line is too long and the wrench provided does not reach the nut to tighten it. I used the metal frame provided for under the countertop for spacer and still the wrench was too short. Luckily I still had the previous faucet (moen pull-out) with the line weights handy. So I removed the weights and they are two pieces which you put around the pull line for added weight. Any how I put these two weights under the countertop and then put the metal spacer on top of it which fit just right and made the wrench to reach the nut and I could tighten the assembly. Make sure to put some clear caulk at the base on top of the counter. My previous moen kitchen faucet was rusted underneath because of this. Otherwise I trust Moen to do the right thing here and either shorten the shaft (1.5") or priovide thicker spacer. My countertop is about 1.2" thick and I still needed extra spacer ;-)
