Can the Lindley retractable faucet be adapted to add "magnetic feature" so it closes completly

Can I buy a kit allowing the conversion of sprayer to magnetic so I don't have to manually return to fully closed position after pulling out sprayer for use?? If not, and I want to purchase the same or similar model Moen Lindley CA87012SRS kitchen faucet (including soap dispenser) with the REFLEX feature, is there one avail??
Asked by: Anonymous
Don't believe a kit that you mention if available. The placement of the weight onto the hose beneath the sink seems to be the critical success factor in how much effort is needed for the sprayer head to return to the default position.

Will this match?

Will this match well with my brushed satin sink?
Asked by: 96Max
I don't see why it would not go well with brushed nickel! The faucet itself is a wonderful brushed nickel and I would think that it was a perfect match!

Do you have to hold the pause button down to stop the flow?

I am looking for a pull down faucet that has a pause button that does NOT need to be continuously held down to stop the flow of water.
Asked by: LansingMom
Stopping the flow is done by shutting off the flow - the flow also goes back to the default stream over the spray. If you want the spray flow you must re-press the spray button

I am having problems with the water pressure ever since I hooked up this faucet. Are there adjustments on the faucet

Asked by: cali
Double check the manual to verify, but I don't believe there are any modifications that can be made to this faucet to increase/decrease the water flow. A plumber installed our faucet and if anything, the water flow is almost too much as it can get you wet if you're not careful. Although other reviewers have complained about low water pressure after installing this faucet that has not been our experience. Good luck!

In the listed Specifications, it shows "Adjustable Flow Rate". Explain "Adjustable Flow Rate". How is this accomplished.

The product specs lists "Adjustable Flow rate" in the specifications but also list the Flow Rate as 2.2 gpm. Is there some way to actually adjust the flow rate or do you mean the flow rate is "adjustable" with the faucet handle.
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello RichR and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The MOEN Lindley Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Spot Resist Stainless with Soap Dispenser has an adjustable flow rate that is controlled by the faucet handle. The MOEN Lindley Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Spot Resist Stainless with Soap Dispenser also provides you with a pull down sprayer that will allow you to adjust the flow pattern from stream to spray. The pull down sprayer also has a "Pause" feature that allows you to pass the sprayer over your countertop while filling a vessel outside of the sink. There are three holes from the faucet I am replacing: the faucet, the water control, and the sprayer. Is there a cap to cover one of the holes?

I do not want to use the base plate because the only way to use it would mean faucet access to only one side of the double sink. Previous owners put the faucet in the middle of the two sink basins, the water control to the right and the sprayer to the right of that all with no base plates.
Asked by: Anonymous
I believe the base plate that is included would cover your three holes, provided they are close enough together. The faucet rotates freely and I believe you should be able to move it, like your previous faucet, either to left or right sinks.

Does the base plate need to be used or can it be omitted ?

Asked by: Anonymous
You can use or not. I have this faucet in a cabin kitchen and because it was part of a complete kitchen remodel, I omitted the plate. The single faucet looks great. However, in my home, I was just replacing the 10-year-old faucets so I had to cover the existing holes. The spot resistant finish works well with my stainless steel sinks. I think it comes down to a matter of preference if you don't have to hide the holes.

Lindley Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Reflex and Soap Dispenser in Spot Resist Stainless is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 238.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems within 2 years We had this installed as part of a kitchen remodel a few years ago. We liked the look of the product, and it worked fine for the first two years. Then water started dripping out through the handle and over time got to be a near-constant flow. Moen provided potential replacement parts and instructions, but that didn't solve the issue. Next step is to bring in a plumber to make the leak stop, even if it means replacing the faucet. If a new one is needed, it won't be a Moen. I don't appreciate having to pay for a plumber to fix a faucet whose byline is "Buy it for life."

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loose Handle I have this for about 2 years now. For the first year everything was good and then I noticed that the handle started to become loose. It's so loose now that it doesn't stay up in the position last used. I'm going to contact Moen and hope there's warranty to fix or replace because it's really annoying.

Just installed new Moen faucet because the other Moen faucet we had already failed after 3 years. Only picked out another Moen because they were the only brand that had the dark brown finish we needed to match. Week 2 and we are already having problems with the soap dispenser sticking when you dispense. Paid over 250.00 for this faucet and am extremely disappointed with the fact the you can't get the soap dispenser to work correctly. Seems like a minor problem until you realize how many times you use it in one day. Fail on Moen's part. So disappointed that our first faucet leaked causing our wooden floors to buckle. Will never buy a Moen again.

We are now about to replace our second of these faucets in the brushed nickel. There seems to be a defect with the design/construction of the handle. After a year or two, the faucet handle became floppy and eventually broke and flooded our kitchen. We got it replaced under warranty, and after about a year or two, the handle of the new faucet is floppy too. It hasn't completely broken yet, but I am going to replace it before it does. Would not recommend this faucet.

The handle is very loose as previous posters have mentioned. I was hoping to fix it myself. It doesn't appear to have anything loose. It appears to have something wrong internally. A previous poster mentioned they had a professional plumber look at it and determined it had to be completely taken apart. It is not leaking that I know of but it is very annoying having a handle that is so loose it does not stay in position. In my opinion this is a piece of junk and is indicative with what is wrong with the products we purchase in this country. Whatever happened to quality? I guess everyone wants stuff for the cheapest price now. I guess we will have to get used to getting a new faucet every year because people want to buy faucets for $19.99. This thing costs me $273.65. What a joke!

Took my time and the instructions where perfect. Packaging prevented any damages to product. Taking my time, It only took about 20 minutes to install this new after removal of old unit. All water supply lines were the same size as my replacement unit so no additional plumbing or fittings / flares were needed. The new faucet is pre-plumbed and the hot water supply is tagged to minimize your issues. I installed on a stainless steel sink approximately 18 years old. Removing the old faucet took longer than installing the new faucet because the old faucet's back up washer was frozen under the sink due to corrosion / rust. When using the unit if one turns the sprayer on - then turns the water supply off - then turns the water supply back on - the water flow changes back to normal flow without sprayer on. Highly recommend.

You need a cache aerator key that is very small and easy, I stress easy to misplace. Also keep in mind that if you lose the key it has to be replaced and difficult to obtain. Who does this? Would not recommend based on this issue. I now have to contact Moen for a replacement key.
