Our Moehn tub is only emitting a trickle of hot water. We think there's a mineral build up preventing the normal flow of hot water. Help!

Shut off the water and pull the cartridge out. Lots of videos and guides to show you how.
Then have someone turn on the water for a couple seconds while you watch in the bathroom. If water sprays out of the empty valve body then your cartridge is either bad or installed upside down. If water does not spray out then you have a big plumbing problem somewhere.

Additional shower heads are a tricky situation due to water flow regulations. A single head off the shelf is usually rated for 2-2.5 gallons per minute (GPM). A multi-head system straight from a manufacturer isn't supposed to have the ability to exceed that on any setting.

The shower valve itself it usually able to provide 4-7 GPM, but only for the tub outlet (bottom of the valve). The shower outlet (top of the valve) is usually restricted to limit flow. If you don't install a tub and instead run the shower head(s) off the tub outlet you can get more flow, but would probably be exceeding regulations.
Look into adding the Moen Transfer Valve Model # 3372. That will allow you to swap between two shower heads without exceeding limits.

Answer:
Moen 2570 includes two small shutoff valves on the valve body itself. This allows you to service the cartridge without shutting off the entire water supply. This would be important in a hotel type install with lots of showers.
In a single family home, the Moen 2520 is a better choice. No extra parts to fail.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fits in thicker walls as well as well as thin. Comes with an adapter for thicker walls, which the plumber would have found helpful if he'd noticed. Perfect fit for the Moen faucet. June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shower valve Converting from traditional 2 handles to a valve at standing height. The Temp. needed to be adjusted warmer. Easy adjustment. Solid feel when turning the valve handle. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solidly built, smooth operation This brass valve maintains temperature of water even when someone else in the house flushes the toilet. The instructions for installation are clear and there are videos available on U-Tube that can also be helpful. The one I bought has fittings for soldering brass piping to the ports. You can also get it with threaded fittings or barbed for direct connection with the modern PEX type piping. Ask your plumber which one would be best for you before you buy. My plumber used the copper piping to make a secure mounting before connecting the PEX pipes. Follow the instructions to flush the lines after installation to save the cartridge. August 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moen is great. Moen has great products at great prices. There single handle faucets and shower valves have been an industry standard for 50 years. They are very cheap and easy to replace cartridge or repair valve if something goes wrong down the road. March 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by shower valve The total experience was great, from speaking to customer service in finding the right valve to receiving it within a couple days, even before it was to arrive. Furthermore, we know from experience that Moen carries a reliable product that delivers years of service. Moen stands behind their products so it something were to go wrong, they will make it right; although we have never had this problem. Once we received the valve it was soldered efficiently and quickly. The value comes with a scald free security that water can't be turned on to hot. The mechanics of the value bring smooth operation that one can place the knob/handle in the exact spot for consistency of comfortable and relaxing shower that bring vitality in the morning and relaxation for the evening. September 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shower valve installation Moen The valve was easy to prepare and rough in. We used a combination of copper and PEX to finish the installation. The whole job took about an hour and we were ready to install the hardboard. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install First time in my life that I installed my own plumbing, the simple instructions and special mount guide my it a fun job from a DIYer. June 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Expensive, but works well. Product arrived just as described, valve body and cartridge only. Not sure what trim package we want yet, but this will take almost any from Moen. Moen is kind of expensive, but I don't ever want to open the wall again. Install was simple enough. Take the valve guts out before applying heat to prevent damage. I only need shower so I plugged the shower outlet and ran the shower off the tub outlet for more flow. Hot or Cold can come in from either left or right!!!!! You just flip the cartridge 180. They don’t tell you that anywhere. February 25, 2015
