This item was an internet only and NIS. I had to wait over a month to purchase, but glad I did. I rennovated the entire bathroom to include a solid surface shower stall. Voss Moentrol tub and shower trim kit is a great product. The valve does not come with the trim (so stated) and I purchased the valve separately. Now, Moentrol valve was a driving factor to purchase this trim. I wanted a valve with stops so I do not have to turn the main waterline off to the house when changing the cartridges in the future. I have this type of valve installed in other bathrooms and I am pleased with its quality and durability. It is a full trim that comes with a bathtub faucet/spout (which is not needed for a shower installation). However, the faucet was important feature for the shower in case I need to fill water containers in a natural disaster scenario. The product has a very modern style and look to it. The installation was quick and easy as long as the rough-in work is done correctly. The switch between shower and faucet is easily executed and locks and unlocks with ease. I went with Brushed Nickel finish as it has a cleaner look in terms of water-spots with a subdued rather than a bright chrome appearance. It is on the pricey side, but Home Depot prices was reasonable and lower than most other places that I looked at.

We bought the tub and shower trim fixtures to update our bathroom . My wife likes the broad shower spray. Although I did not install the hardware it looked easy by following the installation guide provided.

The kit is very pleasing to the eye and over-all the appearance was more than I expected. The material is solid and the installation per the contractor a easy to install. The kit is truly a compliment to the tub and surroundings. I would strongly recommend.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Vincent integral stops are horrible
the integral stop design makes no sense. It's a pressure sensitive spring loaded valve rather than a simple stop valve. Therefore it's more prone to failure. It took me months to figure out this is why my shower's not producing hot enough water. I replaced the 1225 cartridge and the balance spool at a total cost of about $75 to no avail. Finally I started playing around with the stops and was able to get hot water, but only temporarily. I'm at the point now where I'm simply going to remove the spring and washer parts, and/or try to obtain the simple cap to remove the stop valves completely.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Remodelfool Over priced compared to other manufacturer's products
Moen does stand behind their products and the times I have had to contact customer service they have been helpful. I just thing the price is too high for a bathtub set that is average in quality.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Runner Excellent quality valve with shut off stops.
Moen makes a good valve that will last many years and you won't get stuck with parts unavailability. The shut off stop screws on the left and right enable you to change the valve components later without shutting off the water to the whole house. The Kinsley trim pieces that we got to go with it are very nice looking. I don't know what some people are thinking when they put a fancy European shower valve in. What is one to do years later when the design is changed and you can't get replacement parts anymore? We had to special order this relatively standard item, as it was not stocked in the store. It took 8 days to arrive. I paid $93.49 for this Moentrol valve in July of 2013 and the price as of 10/18/2013 is currently $122.21. A 30% price increase. When we have a large project, it is important to stick to a timeline and keep costs under control. 8 days shipping is excessive. I would recommend this valve, but Home Depot needs to do better.

The Voss handle section was replacing my original Moen faucet, 1997, which had gone through numerous repairs for leaking valves. Just a few minor installation problems, as the holes in the plate did not line up with the wall mounting holes, so I had to trim the inside molding and silicone the plate to the wall tiles.
My wife says the faucet is easy to use and she likes it.
Thank you for your help,

As we prepared to soldier this valve in place, all the components with o-rings came out well and then went back in place nicely. The hot water stop for the handle worked nicely for the kids. Would definitely recommend this valve!
