I'm redoing my entryway and it is poured concrete and I would like to have a heated tiled floor. It is in our entryway/breezway. Will this work to heat the tile if it's laid on concrete to heat the tile on top?

Answer:
Yes, this is a good option to heat un-insulated concrete. The fiber pad will help push the heat upward.

Answer:
Yes, you can use up to 150 sqft on 1 circuit from your main box. You will need to join all wires together at a junction box. If you are needing to increase the sqft size to more than 150 sqft, then you will need another circuit from your box. You can add a power module to that second circuit so that one thermostat can run all of sqft.

Answer:
The thermostat you need for floor heat is one with a floor sensor so you can monitor the floor temperature for better accuracy and one that has a built in GFCI switch for safety.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by radiant floor mat This particular floor mat is made by NU-Heat and is an exceptional product and easy to work with. I have used it in high end bath remodels under ceramic tile and the thermostats that are offered to work with this product are pricey but worth the money and are simple to use, attractive and user friendly. You will want an electrician to install the feed wires for the thermostat but the rest you can do yourself. August 8, 2010
