I purchased this product last summer, &, overall was pleased. As another reviewer noted, the finish does come off when it's washed with a soft brush & water. I decided this summer to get another one for the other end of my yard, as one bird bath didn't seem to provide enough water for my flying friends. I was so disappointed in this second one. It was a little more difficult to attach the pieces & then detach them; the bowl & stand stuck together. The biggest problem, however, was that the underneath side of the bowl was not sealed. There are several leaks in the bowl, causing the bowl to empty in one day. I've tried spraying with a clear coat sealant with no luck. I'll try some other product to try to seal it, as it's too inconvenient to try to return it. The company needs better quality control.

Ordered online and it is really nice looking except the finish is peeling off after one month. Very disappointing.

Had the bird bath for about a month. In the instructions it says to use a soft brush to clean. Which i did with just water nothing else. All the color came off on the brush! Now the outside is black and the inside of the bowl is white. I never put anything in the bird bath but water. Have no idea how your supposed to clean the bird bath and keep the color on. I am very disappointed!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tina Is there really any stone in it?
The birdbath was very easy to assemble but it had a hole on the bottom of the bowl near the top notch that fit in the base. Don't think that was supposed to be there but was too much trouble to send back. Seriously doubt if it has any stone in it since it is lightweight. Waiting to see if it topples over when the wind blows as stated in other reviews. I do like the deep, wide bowl and the overall appearance of it. I did coat the bowl with a Krylon matte clear finish to prevent any peeling later on but not sure that was necessary. Only time will tell.

Some assembly required. Parts mated together better than expected. Best lateral stability achieve when base was partially countersunk in the ground. Cost comparable to cast concrete ones that were far less attractive.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ddpb Design flaw
This is a beatiful birdbath, however, as many others have stated there is a major flaw in the design. Where the bowl attaches to the base is a weak point, and any pressure upon this point will cause it to snap apart. This happened on the first day for me. Luckily a bit of gorilla glue and a tender hand have proved effective this far in resolving the issue!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AmaGramma tips over easily
I have owned this bird bath for several weeks. I wrote a glowing review at first because it went together so easily and looked nice. I have discovered since I placed it into the garden that it is very very top heavy and that it constantly tips over if there is the slightest wind. The top does not come off but the entire bath dumps over. So far it has not broken. This is not a heavy stone product. It is a light weight composite that they call "cast". It is light weight like plaster. I will fix my product by anchoring it in cement but wish I had understood it's problems in the beginning.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Linda Very pretty birdbath
So far I am very pleased with the birdbath. I am hoping it stays looking beautiful in the years ahead. There are designs of flowers in the bowl that are quite pretty but may make it difficult to keep clean. We did use a matte clear finish spray on the bowl before filling it the first time to help protect it from dirt and the weather. The bowl is pretty deep so we only fill it part of the way.
The birdbath is beautiful and looks great in my landscaping!
