Had them professionally installed about 6 years ago. Loved the look, and still look good in places we rarely walk but started breaking and crumbling in well-traveled spots almost immediately. Cannot afford to replace the whole floor so we are having it refinished and polished and replacing a few that really need it. Thing is, although they are not expensive, there are cheaper options that hold up better with less hassle, so I would consider wear and tear before putting them in a higher-traffic area.

I purchased this for a rental when I had to fix a problem quickly. I was really surprised when it turned out better than the very expensive stuff I bought at a granite company for my home! The color is more even and so far no holes as opposed to my expensive travertine !

We purchased this travertine for our guest bathroom. Our installer did an excellent job and few tiles were unusable. The stone is level and secure. It looks beautiful!! We then decided to buy 1500 square feet more and have completed an office--it too looks just great! We are very pleased with this travertine and would recommend it. If you're going to tile a large area, buy all tile necessary plus 20% so you can choose how best to lay it out for a nice look. Remember, travertine is a natural stone and no one stone will look alike in pattern or color. If you like natural, earthy look, it's a great tile to purchase!

had 1200 sq ft professionally installed 3 years ago. back buttered every piece. Tile is now falling apart. Numerous holes where filler is crumbling. For the past couple years i have been filling these holes with grout but it is now getting out of hand. Called HD and was told they have never heard of such a problem. They had MSI call me, the MSI rep said that is normal, real stone needs maintenance. I asked if it is normal to have a 2" diameter hole crumble out and they said yes, that can happen, just need to keep filling with grout. Guess i will have to pay to rip it up and replace with something else...

Just re did our bathroom, this tile gave us the most bang for our buck. I was really Leary at first because of the poor reviews, but my wife and I installed it within a couple of days and it turned out great! However the stone is thin and has a lot of voids in it. We took our time making our cuts and choosing our cut lines so that you don't cut through a lot of voids and cause breaking and then we buttered each tile as we laid them, filling in the voids. Overall we laid roughly 75 SF and only broke 3 pieces. I would recommend this product to other people that want great flooring for a reasonable price.

I used them in the kitchen and family room. The key is having a professional install them. The variety of colors gives it an attractive look and great character. You have to be careful with installation because they are little more fragile than ceramic. For a stone floor you can not beat the price.

Beautifully grained tiles. Did the whole house with them. The grains are caused by natural mineral deposits so there will be some pockets and voids on the back side of the tiles. Certain pieces are more brittle than others. Thus each tile will have to be buttered (filled) on the back prior to laying them. This method will help prevent cracks in the tiles due to heavy foot traffic. Takes a lot of patience and time to install but I'm very happy with the product.

The tiles have lots of fills and voids. This adds character, but also lends to instability and sometimes undesired colors. I had two tiles crumble in my hands because I picked them up. I searched through many tiles before I found the ones I wanted. You get what you pay for. Based on what's left at the store - I'd have to recommend finding a better grade.
