I'm giving this product 3 stars because it looks great installed, but I will not use it again. Cutting this tile was a nightmare - it would shatter off along grooves, air pockets and imperfections in the stone. I used two different wet saws and each had the same problem. I was covering a bar top in this & luckily I didn't have to cut the pieces going on top, but the edges needed 2" strips. I finally got enough cut to finish the project, but I probably wasted as much as I used. Again, the finished product looks amazing, but the amount of time and waste that went into it is enough to scare me away from this tile for all future projects.

I purchased 7 square feet on line because none of the local stores had it in stock. I was doing a small project around the house. The product arrived reasonably quickly from the New Jersey location. When I unpacked them and layed them out, I was disappointed in the quality of the cut edges. Of the 28 pieces 1/4 had edges that would distract from the finished project and 1 had a major chip in it. The color had very little to do with the image shown on line. When I checked to see the UPS cost to ship it back, it turned out to be 1/4 of the original purchase price. I've decided to keep them and put them away for some future project. Would I purchase them again? NO! I will never purchase stone tile on line again.

Purchased sixteen cases for the backsplash in my kitchen. Combined with light smoke sanded grout, it turned out absolutely beautiful. Tiles contain predominately browns and blacks with some white and red highlights. Worth every dime.

Because these are natural stone .. the pieces have a lot of variation. For a large application it wouldn't be a problem just mix them all together.
I only needed 9 tiles to do a small workstation of my kitchen countertop.
I hand selected the tiles from the home depot store. There were some that had more of a black-brown background and the other ones more of a chocolate Deep Sable Brown background. Those are the ones I selected. I also selected the ones with the large white veining. Some had very little white veining and some had dramatic larger streaks of white veining. The stone itself is GORGEOUS. It has a deep dark sable brown background, some appearing brown black. Also gold tones, white streaks. One tile I saw in the store had a terra cotta orange patch on it.
Marble is a softer stone than granite .. maybe having it delivered over the internet isn't such a good idea. In the store I opened the sealed bundles.. to go through and hand pick the 9 tiles I wanted. Even within the sealed pack in the store I did find a chipped damaged tile.
If you bought a bunch of it .. you could always return to the store (save your receipt) in case you found any damaged pieces in your cases.
The pic on the monitor does not really look like the actual color of the tile in person. At least on my monitor. On my monitor it looks more black with a lots of greenish/deep taupe accents but in real life it is a rich deep sable chocolately blackish brown LOL with gold, white accents.
The tile looks Better in person and I immediately fell in love with it!
I needed something to tie in the whites and the beige/brown tones of my kitchen remodel and this was perfect. It had the brown but with the white streaks!
