Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pete I have mixed feelings about this.....
First let me start off saying this is a very pretty marble. Out of over 210 Sq/ft ordered, had to return 1 case before I could even get it loaded in my truck, as almost the entire case was cracked and opened. The HD guy told me he would have the tile guy call me / reorder. About 7 days later he called asking if I needed something... HA HA HA.. glad I was working on 2 projects.
As for the Marble itself. For a natural stone its WxD was almost dead perfect on every tile (12x12)...However its thickness was another story. Some had amost up to 1/8" variation. If your not good floating tiles, don't use this.
Second.... Lots of defects in surface of marble, would say about 1 or 2 in every 10 is a defected (toss to the side , return later, or use in a spot no one will ever see it).
Third... Cutting, Even using the best tile saw on the market, YOUR GOING TO BREAK SOME while cutting. The way the veining runs in this tile, there is just no way around it.
If your a small time DIY guy, I would avoid this tile. However if your good at floating tile and have some previous tile work, you will probably turn out with a descent job when your done. If I was not dead set on this color, I probably would use something else.

The tile out of box was good looking, with uniform coloring and slight grey veins. However, one week after installation dark grey and white spots appeared out of nowhere which did not exist before installation. As a result, the installed floor looks really bad. I have 10 extra tiles not installed - all look perfect, no such spots.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by countrygirl It is nice but some issues
Three of the tiles were broke when arrived from the carrier. Plus when you have a piece to cut down to size be aware of the veins ( not easy to see) but we had a few that broke because of that. It is not as thick as the other tile i used. It is very pretty marble but I did not get the project quite finished.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MNmom Very poor quality but not really Home Depot's fault
I started out wanting Emperador Dark slab countertops in the bathroom, but after calling every stone supplier in the area, I quickly found that no one has slabs without huge flaws. Apparently it's near the end of the quarry and the marble is of poor quality. I then decided to try the tiles and of 70 sq ft, found 10 that were lovely. The rest had huge cracks filled with brown, beige or orange fill, lots of large white quartz blobs, etc. Tile colors ranged from cafe au lait to dark chocolate which made it impossible to "blend" the colors. Trying other suppliers resulted in the same problem so I changed the design and countertop material.

We are very, very happy with it. It meant our expectations and it appears to be all we wanted it to be.

I was leery of ordering stone on-line, but decided to give it a try and order 2 1/2 boxes. Though the boxes were well packed, one had been hit in the corner and 5 pieces were broken.
I took pictures and called Home Depot ready for battle, but was very pleasantly surprised when the said "No problem, we'll send you 5 new pieces". No need to return the broken pieces, no shipping charges and they didn't even need my photographs of the damaged box.
This was great customer service, especially for a "big box" store. I will definitely order this way again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Brian AVOID - serious defects
I bought 7 cartons of this marble, and in the first (and only) box I opened half the tiles had large cavities and cracks filled in with an off-color, brown/black epoxy. These blemishes are glaringly obvious and make the tile look horrible. The only positive I can say is that the return went smoothly, after I had to reload it all in the car that is. AVOID at all costs.
